You have to admire his gumption - the young water seller Iggy at the top of Mount Coree

Now, you can have your average neighbourhood lemonade stand. All very cute.

But then you can go the whole hog and set up a table and chair and sell water on top of the very high, very remote Mount Coree in the north-west corner of the ACT.

And that's just what one young boy known only as Iggy did.

Our thanks to roving local photographer Adrian Bradley for again shining a light on the slightly offbeat side of Canberra. (He also revealed the love heart mown into the lawn on an island in Lake Burley Griffin)

Bradley went to do some filming on Mount Coree last weekend and found at the summit young Iggy who had shown remarkable entrepreneurial spirit by setting up his table and chair to sell water to passersby.

And  he showed some pretty fierce optimism as well. As Bradley's beautiful drone-driven footage shows, Iggy chose a fairly remote place to sell. (Mount Coree is 1421 metres high.)

Yet, on a hot day, there's nothing a bushwalker likes more (after a good view) and that's a nice cool drink of water.

Iggy had apparently gone the neighbourhood stand route, but then decided to give Mount Coree a go, ably assisted by his mum, a keen bushwalker and bird watcher.

In these days of screen time overdosing, we have to salute Iggy's get up and go. (And if he'd like to tell us more please email us at megan.doherty@fairfaxmedia.com.au)
