The Human Rights Commission in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (HRC/KSA) in collaboration and coordination with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), organized a one-day seminar on the rights of disabled persons

AHDR 2016 examines challenges and opportunities facing youth in the Arab region, especially since 2011, and seeks to provide an overview on youth in the region and stimulate a broad dialogue between youth and key stakeholders on the future of development in the region, focusing on the role of youth as critical partners at this very point in time.

With the thoughtful planning and strategic pathways outlined in the accompanying National Transformation Program 2020, Saudi Arabia has already made a good start in its journey towards ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future.

The United Nations Assistant Secretary-General, UNDP Assistant Administrator and Director of Regional Bureau for Arab States, Sima Bahous, with UNDP staff during her official mission to Saudi Arabia to strengthen partnership and discuss several regional issues of common interest with the Kingdom’s high officials back in June 2015. The delegation included Mr. Michael O’Neil, Assistant Administrator and Director of the Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy.

The King Salman Youth Center (KSYC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) have concluded an agreement to implement the “Youth National Indicators Project”. The Project aims at developing three globally certified youth indicators, as well as preparing a study about youth in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, based on the data of these indicators.
