Who knew taupe and turquoise were such good friends? Sure, the Zac Posen dress Nina Dobrev is wearing is a tiny bit twee, but its elegance trumps any saccharine organza issues. Yes, it's got a sheer skirt, and in many ways looks like many dresses we've seen before, but then something about the harsh geometry combined with the flippy-ness of it makes it unique. The embellishments are so beautifully applied - they look like a shattering duck-egg-blue vase - kudos to Mr Posen: he clearly actually likes women, and continues to do good work. Photo: Getty -

This Marchesa look is full on - but the lovely Camila Alves has the je ne sais quois to pull it off. If I was tasked with conjuring up a new society in Game of Thrones that lived in a magical winter-proof place, eating golden plums all day while sunning in their copper-coloured dappled daylight, Camila in this dress would be my vision for the matriarch. Tyrion would fall in love with her after one look, but at the end of my book Queen Camila would end up with Daenerys (and they'd ride off into the sunset on a dragon, their perfect hair shimmering behind them like they'd just had a Brazilian Blowout). Speaking of good hair, KM's locks are looking extra bouncy here - do you think they turn her head upside down and blow dry her locks literally the second before she steps out of the door… "Cathy is on the move," her bodyguards say, "she's at peak volume and has about 20 minutes until it gets flat… go, go, go!". At least I'd like to think that this is the case, otherwise I may not sleep tonight due to intense volume envy. Or perhaps she's dabbling in extensions? (#NoJudgement). Yes, this Lanvin design makes it look like a white satin dress is in the process of falling off of Sienna Miller, revealing a black slip, but you know what? I don't care… She still looks fabulous. And sure, it's a touch wrinkled in parts, but then it's satin photographed in harsh light, what's a girl to do? Walk around encased in a steamer? Ruby Rose in Balmain is proof that every dog has its day (in this idiom, the Balmain dress is the dog, obviously). It's no secret that I'm not a fan of Olivier Rousteing at Balmain, and this tricky cutout column gown would completely overtake most women… but not Ruby, oh no, she's wearing the hell out of this. She looks like a goddess in an art deco postcard, but then it also feels very 2010. Bow down. If Austin Powers was set during peak glam rock '90s, Anne-Marie's outfit here would be a great villain's costume. I kind of can't help but love the gumption of it all together - but each element is technically terrible. First you've got those glasses that look like a sculpture of an actual eye (and are very impractical I might add, UV would dart in from all angles), then there are the matching golden leg curtains, neck brace and arm casts … and the T-shirt, well that’s just genius.
