The National Australia Day council may have taken away the Australia Day Live concert, but there's still plenty to do in Canberra this Australia Day.
The official celebrations kick off at 7.30am with the ActewAGL Great Aussie Day Breakfast at Stage 88, where there's food, entertainment and activities for the kids. From 10am is the national citizenship and flag raising ceremony at Rond Terrace with a flyover and 21 gun salute.
From 4pm, the new Australia Day concert is on at Regatta Point with music from British India, Choir of Hard Knocks, Young Monks and Hands Like Houses, followed by fireworks over Lake Burly Griffin at 9pm.

Tinny Takeover @ Brew Nation, Civic
The new-ish Civic bar will crack open celebrations with a tribute to the humble tinnie on Australia Day eve. There will be 10 of the country's tastiest beers in cans available. 4pm-11pm on January 25. Free entry. 18+. See facebook.com.
Australia Day Festival @ National Museum of Australia
From 10am-2pm, dress up with the family and celebrate the country's history with music, dance, demonstrations, workshops, games, craft and family activities inspired by A History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum. From 5pm-9pm there's live music and lawn games at the lakeside amphithetre - take your picnic blanket and get set up for the fireworks, and you can buy a pie and other refreshments. Free, but exhibition entry fees still apply.

Beer and bicycles @ Bentspoke Brewing Co
Keeping up with tradition, there will be the annual bike ride, but this time, from the new Mitchell cannery. There's a barbecue breakfast from 9am at the cannery, then the ride to the Braddon brewpub at 10am. From midday there's the triple J Hottest 100, plus the live countdown of the Hottest 100 Aussie Craft beers, which Bentspoke is in the running for. Rooftop Pool Party @ The Duxton
