Could some lucky Queenslanders be about to realise their great Australian dream?
Two winning division one lotto prizes - each worth seven figures - are yet to be claimed for draws over the Christmas period.
One unregistered ticket is worth $1.34 million and was purchased from Lutwyche News and Gifts on Brisbane's northside for the Gold Lotto New Year's Eve superdraw.
The other is a $1 million winning ticket sold by Cotton Tree News in Maroochydore for a draw on December 19.
Golden Casket spokeswoman Elissa Lewis said it was possible someone may have received a winning ticket as a Christmas gift and has it tucked away in a card.
"Who knows, they might realise their great Australian dream on Australia Day," she told AAP.
Home ownership is the great Australian dream and most lottery winners either bought a house or paid off their mortgage, Ms Lewis said.
Other priorities included taking a holiday and upgrading the car, she added.
The winning tickets are among four unclaimed division one prizes in Queensland.
The person who bought a winning ticket worth $2 million in Cairns three years ago is yet to emerge, and the holder of a $1 million ticket purchased from Nextra in Morayfield Village in June 2015 is still outstanding.
Winners have up to seven years to claim lottery prizes in Queensland.
