About the song and video .....
Gilbert`s classic world-wide hit from 1972 . There are many videos of Gilbert performing this song - but none of them capture the spirit of the record . I thought it was time the song got the kind of video it deserves ! If you haven`t seen this footage before , it was filmed for promotional purposes when the single was released - but music videos weren`t commonly used back in 1972 !
It features Clair Mills herself - the daughter of his manager Gordon Mills for whom Gilbert used to baby-sit in the early days of their partnership . He wrote the song as a gift for her parents to say thanks for everything they had done for him . It`s actually Gordon Mills playing the harmonica solo ! Hope you enjoy this video of Clair having fun with ` Uncle Ray ` - ( Raymond is Gilberts real name ! )

The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky!
It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom.
We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! What an awesome guy and what an experience getting to share that moment between three different boat-loads of people!
What an amazing day on the water and can't wait to get back soon!

Gilbert O'Sullivan
Gilbert O'Sullivan (born Raymond Edward O'Sullivan, 1 December 1946) is an Irish singer-songwriter, best known for his early 1970s hits "Alone Again (Naturally)", "Clair" and "Get Down". The music magazine Record Mirror voted him the No. 1 UK male singer of 1972.
Worldwide he has charted 16 top-40 records, including six number one songs, the first of which was 1970's "Nothing Rhymed" (for further information see Gilbert O'Sullivan discography). Such was his popularity in the early 1970s that "Matrimony", an airplay and live favourite from his debut album Himself, remains one of his most famous compositions despite never having been a hit single (except in the Netherlands where it reached No. 4).
His most successful recording period was between 1970 and 1980, though he has since recorded ten studio albums up to 2015. Speaking in 2009 he said, "I write pop songs. End of story. That's all I wanted to do. That's all I want to do. And that's all I continue to want to do. I have no interest in just touring, and living in the past."

Title sequence
A title sequence is the method by which films or television programs present their title, key production and cast members, utilizing conceptual visuals and sound. It typically includes (or begins) the text of the opening credits, and helps establish the setting and tone of the program. It may consist of live action, animation, music, still images, and/or graphics.
History
Since the invention of the cinematograph, simple title cards were used to begin and end silent film presentations in order to identify both the film and the production company involved, and to act as a signal to viewers that the film had started and then finished. In silent cinema, title cards or intertitles were used throughout to convey dialogue and plot, and it is in some of these early short films that we see the first examples of title sequences themselves, being quite literally a series of title cards shown at the beginning of a film. With the arrival of sound, the sequence was usually accompanied by a musical prelude or overture.

The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky! It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom. We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! What an awesome guy and what an experience getting to share that moment between three different boat-loads of people! What an amazing day on the water and can't wait to get back soon! EPIC St. Clair Musky and Smallie Trip - VLOG 4 - 4/17/16
The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky! It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom. We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! I thought it was time the song got the kind of video it deserves ! If you haven`t seen this footage before , it was filmed for promotional purposes when the single was released - but music videos weren`t commonly used back in 1972 !
It features Clair Mills herself - the daughter of his manager Gordon Mills for whom Gilbert used to baby-sit in the early days of their partnership . He wrote the song as a gift for her parents to say thanks for everything they had done for him . It`s actually Gordon Mills playing the harmonica solo ! The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky!
It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom.
We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! What an awesome guy and what an experience getting to share that moment between three different boat-loads of people!
What an amazing day on the water and can't wait to get back soon!

EPIC St. Clair Musky and Smallie Trip - VLOG 4 - 4/17/16
The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky! It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom. We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! I thought it was time the song got the kind of video it deserves ! If you haven`t seen this footage before , it was filmed for promotional purposes when the single was released - but music videos weren`t commonly used back in 1972 !
It features Clair Mills herself - the daughter of his manager Gordon Mills for whom Gilbert used to baby-sit in the early days of their partnership . He wrote the song as a gift for her parents to say thanks for everything they had done for him . It`s actually Gordon Mills playing the harmonica solo ! The team from Bass Centric Collective all hit Lake St Clair and had an absolutely EPIC day on the lake, boating 45+ smallmouth and 2 trophy musky!
It was a fairly tough start to the morning with all of the boat traffic, but after getting away from the boats, we started catching them! Most of our fish came on deep cranbaits in 11-14 feet of water. We used a technique that we coined as "Tickling" a crankbait - reeling the bait so slowly that you barely feel it move and crawl along the bottom.
We ran into Eternal Angler from YouTube out there and he was gracious enough to provide us a net so we could get the second Musky in the boat! What an awesome guy and what an experience getting to share that moment between three different boat-loads of people!
What an amazing day on the water and can't wait to get back soon!
