This is the no frills New Matilda subscription, for the discerning reader. If you were a politician, this is the sort of subscription you might take if you’re cautious with taxpayer-funded cab charges, but no so cautious that you’d deprive yourself of an afternoon touring local wineries.
It’s a sensible subscription, and while it doesn’t come with all the glorious freebies, it does ensure you unfettered access to the New Matilda website, and it helps us punch holes in the chattering classes (the chattering classes being politicians, journalists and shock jocks).
