Barbecue (also barbeque, BBQ and barby/barbies) is both a cooking method and an apparatus. The generally accepted differences between barbecuing and grilling are cooking durations and the types of heat used. Grilling is generally done quickly over moderate-to-high direct heat that produces little smoke, while barbecuing is done slowly over low, indirect heat and the food is flavored by the smoking process.
The word barbecue when used as a noun can refer to the cooking method, the meat cooked in this way, the cooking apparatus (the "barbecue grill" or simply "barbecue"), or to an event where this style of food is featured. Used as an adjective, "barbecued" refers to foods cooked by this method. The term is also used as a verb for the act of cooking food in this manner. Barbecuing is usually done out-of-doors by smoking the meat over wood or charcoal. Restaurant barbecue may be cooked in large brick or metal ovens designed for that purpose. There are numerous regional variations of barbecuing, and it is practiced around many areas of the world.
Music Inc. is an album by American jazz trumpeter Charles Tolliver's Music Inc. with a Big Band recorded in 1970 and first released on the Strata-East label.
The Allmusic review by Jason Ankeny awarded the album 4½ stars stating "The remarkable Music, Inc. Big Band remains the apotheosis of trumpeter Charles Tolliver's singular creative vision. Rarely if ever has a big band exhibited so much freedom or finesse, while at the same time never overwhelming the virtuoso soloists on whom the performances pivots".
All compositions by Charles Tolliver except as indicated

We also wanted to have them try the best sauces from the most respected regions in the US, so we reached out to LawLers Barbecue (Alabama), 12 Bones (North Carolina), Gates Bar-B-Q (Kansas City) and Rudy's Bar-B-Q (Texas) who agreed to come on board for this project. (We tried reaching out to several places in Memphis but none were interested unfortunately. Sorry Memphis, we tried our best) First, we wanna say this project wouldn’t have been possible without 12 Bones, LawLers, Rudy’s and Gates. These are already successful and respected businesses who could have told us they weren’t interested, but they loved the idea of this project and having their local region represented. It was also awesome for us to be able to try all the different styles of sauces. Please show them your support an...

Today we explore more of South Korea's Jeju Island, which natives call Jejudo (제주도). The day starts off at Jeju Folk Village where we see traditional Korean homes and culture. Upon getting a taste of the old way of life, we head to dinner for Korean BBQ, specifically to try Heukdweji (흑돼지), the famous black pig of Jeju. These black pigs used to be called "poop pigs" back when they were used for cleaning human waste. In present day, Koreans largely use the Western toilet, so don't rely on the pigs anymore. The black pigs are now raised not for cleaning but for consumption. Whenever I ask the island locals what I should eat, they often mention heukdweji. Let's lay our culinary curiosity to rest and try this once and for all! Watch the vlog to see the action unfold :) FOLLOW ME: Facebook: ht...
