Communique for coordinated arson attacks against energy multinational RWE (Germany)

Thursday, January 12th, 2017

In the late hours of 25-11-16, we carried out coordinated arson attacks against the German energy multinational RWE in the vicinity of the Hambach opencast lignite mine. We have delayed this communique until now (11-1-17) for strategic purposes.

After a scout of the area, we split up and set fire to six pumping stations, two electrical transformers, one digger and a substation of the electrical grid.

Pumping stations are key pieces of the mines infrastructure used to lower the water table and prevent the flooding of the mine. They most often resemble a section of exposed pipe and an electrical box surrounded by construction fence. We prised open the electrical boxes using a crowbar and placed simple timed incendiary devices and a bundle of bicycle inner tubes inside to ensure the flames caught nicely.

The incendiary devices were composed of a candle secured to a firelighter cube with a strong rubber band. The candles burnt down slowly, then ignited the firelighters once we were safely away from the area. After smashing a window to gain access, we used the same devices to burn out the cab of the digger. (more…)

Arson and sabotage at Hambach open cast mine (Germany)

Sunday, January 8th, 2017

This new years night while everybody was celebrating, we had a special party of our own, visiting the hambach opencast mine and putting on a nice fireworks display for RWE and breaking some glass for a lucky new fear.

After wandering along the railway tracks which transport brown coal from the mine to nearby power stations, we came across two signal boxes and a bundle of cables and thought these were perfectly suitable targets for our mischevious intentions.

We opened the boxes with a wide chisel and placed inside 10cm lengths of inner tube stuffed with gasoline soaked cloths then smeared the inside of the boxes with burning gel to make sure it all burnt properly.

We thought the party was over, but then on the way back we noticed some welcoming lights from an office trailer in a fenced compound. Next to the trailer were two parked diggers in dire need of maintenance, we checked the trailer was empty by smashing its windows, then cut the fence and set about immediately improving the air conditioning of the diggers, smashing their windows, cutting all of the hydraulics and adding some extra holes to the coolers. We also poured some dirt and broken glass in the gas tanks and used a bolt cutter to cut the valves of the trailers tires.

200m further, we found a front-end loader and gave it the same treatment aswell as emptying the fire extinguisher found inside the cab into its gas tank.

According to the media reports all of this caused a damage of “tens of thousands” of euros, making it our most expensive new years party so far.

We wish to send our thanks to all the people who provided us with perfect soundcover by wasting huge amounts of explosives, terrifying the local wildlife in a stupid capitalist ritual.

Train sabotage at Hambach open cast mine with Thermite (Germany)

Sunday, January 8th, 2017

On the night of the 5th of January I paid a visit to the Hambach open cast browncoal mine close to Aachen. My goal was to destroy the railroad tracks with a load of thermite i stole from an other industrial company.

Thermite burns around 2500 degrees celcius and the steel of the tracks melts around 1500 degrees celcius so the thermite does a lot of damage when ignited properly.

I chose the location so it would hurt them most, at the part where the train can switch to the other track since this part is one of a kind and they have to make a new one on site. When I got there I set everything up after checking the target and my escape route, the termite I put in 2 plantpots with a hole in the bottom to guide the molten mixture to the right place. The stuff is easy to ignite with sparklers which you can get anywhere around new years but to be sure it all goes up I put around 20 in each spot.

I placed the devices and set it ablaze, just in the moment I lit the 2nd one I saw the headlights of an train coming my way. I had plenty of time to get some space between me and the molten mixture and watch the train driving into one of the pots. The tracks and front wheel was covered in the burning thermite and making a repetitive noise of the wheels hitting the damaged
spot.

After one last look at this spectacle I got my ass out of there.

Greetings,
Piromane against RWE.

Initiatives, projects and some anarchist news… (Philippines)

Friday, August 12th, 2016

Recently the anarchist comrades of Etnikobandido uploaded several posts about their recent activities in Philippines, check out their blog here.

Art, Ecology, Resistance 2016

2015 was recorded to be the hottest year in the history of mankind. Meanwhile the recent typhoon Yolanda was tagged to be the strongest storm, which has already been exceeded by other storms from other countries. Changes in weather patterns has become unexplainably irregular. These are the symptoms of Climate Change, which is for the most part caused by human activity.

People had invented technology that rely on limited sources such as minerals from underground. The act of taking and processing materials like these causes substantial amount of carbon, which heats up the planet at a faster rate. This heat affects the whole world. A cold place snows up easier, while hot places dry up more more easily. It also storms more often in places where rain usually falls. Sadly, this kind of deluge hits developing countries often. 'To Comrade Nikos Romanos and all the young fighters who are imprisoned in the jails of Troika and Syriza' : Commission of Convicted Workers, Relatives and Friends of Las Heras (Argentina)

Thursday, November 12th, 2015

325 receives and transmits:

To Comrade Nikos Romanos and all the young fighters who are imprisoned in the
jails of Troika and Syriza,

We attach the appeal to the international day of struggle for December 12th
that we want to propel with you.
From the south of Argentina we want to send you a warm hug. You are not
alone, we are together!

Here the oil and mine imperialist companies plunder our natural sources
with impunity and get huge profits with our muscles and bones, with daily
shifts of 12 and 14 hs per day. Every time we fight for our rights they
chase us, repress us, imprison us and convict us with the government and
its justice.

Thus on December 12, 2013, the Videlist justice convicted us for fighting
in 2006 against outsourcing and against a tax on our wages that bosses and
government cinically call it “tax on profits”. It is a robbery to our low
wages, even more in the south where the cost of living is two times higher
than the rest of the country.
For this fight, four of us are convicted for life and there are six
comrades who received a sentence of 5 years. (more…)

Athens: Dynamic protest against destructive gold mining in the ancient forests of Halkidiki (Greece)

Sunday, April 26th, 2015

On 16 April 2015 a dynamic protest took place, despite the provocations of the Greek riot police operating under the left government of SYRIZA, in solidarity to the residents of Halkidiki in northern Greece fighting against the destruction of their homes, the environment and the pollution of drinking water in their area due to gold mining operations.

A few years ago the multinational gold mining company Eldorado Gold settled in Skouries and with the backing of powerful domestic private interests has begun large-scale mining activities. Thus, the irreversible destruction of the ecosystem of Skouries and the contamination of soil and groundwater with heavy metals throughout western Halkidiki has already started.

Letter for Actions in #kallak Gállok in Sapmi, Sweden

Right now there is a battle against mining in Sapmi, north of Sweden, going on. We have barricaded the road leading to the site where Beowulf Mining Plc. want to make test mines. This is the Sami peoples lands stolen by the Swedish state and colonized since way back. We stand in solidarity with indigenous culture and fight against the mega-machine of mining. The Swedish police are now on the site removing obstacles to help the mining corporation proceed. At least 6 people have been arrested already but protests are still going on. For five days the police have this special mission to help the evil corporation, that’s why we need people now! (more…)

Especial: Sobre la muerte de Sabino Romero, que tenemos que decir (Venezuela)

Friday, April 12th, 2013

Click images for bigger size files. Background info on the murder of Sabino Romero in English here.

CURARE ANTI-INFO BLOG: http://apuntandoalaliberaciontotal.blogspot.com/

Attack against Talvivaara mining company (Finland)

Saturday, March 9th, 2013

Thursday 8.3.2013 a group of people gathered in front of Finlandia Hall [in Helsinki, Finland] to demonstrate their discontentment against environmental crimes done by Finnish mining company Talvivaara* while the company was having shareholders meeting.

At the same time we did a solidarity action at Talvivaara headquarters in Espoo.

We throw smoke bombs inside the corridor of the building and decorated the wall with anti-Talvivaara slogan.

Our action was in solidarity with all those who have been suffering of the operations of Talvivaara mine and those who are fighting against the company.

Also we want to express our solidarity to smallholder rebellions in Kulon Progon area in Java Island [in Indonesia] and Tukijo that is imprisoned by Indonesian state.

We are deeply sorry about extra heart beats we caused for the worker in the corridor.

* Finnish mining company having a huge open-pit mine in North-East Finland. For years the local people and activists have brought up the fundamental violation of environmental legislation of Talvivaara. In December 2012 the company had major leak of poisonous waste water into lakes around the mining area causing of large scale pollution and it has still serious problems to “clean” the production line – probably never succeed. Talvivaara is mining mainly nickel and zinc, but uranium as well.

On the killing of Sabino Romero (Venezuela)

Tuesday, March 5th, 2013

During the night of March 3, 2013 Yukpa Cacique Sabino Romero, well known for his defense of the rights of the Yukpa people, was assassinated on Chaktapa Highway, in the Sierra de Perijá (Zulia State). Since November 13, 2003 when President Hugo Chavez, speaking at El Menito, Lagunillas, announced the increase in carbon exploitation to 36 million metric tons per year in the territories inhabited by different native ethnic groups, Sabino Romero was one of the people from indigenous communities that mobilized to protest the consequences their land would suffer due to the expansion of mega-mining in their region. Sabino’s struggle focused on obtaining the zoning and title to the indigenous territories, for which he put together different mobilizations in Zulia State as well as in Caracas, using different means of struggle, among them direct action and occupation of indigenous lands in the hands of cattle ranchers. Letter from Hidayat, In Prison in Makassar (Indonesia)

Tuesday, March 6th, 2012

Dear comrades,

From the bottom of my heart and an ardent yearning to be with you, I wanted to write this short letter in order to let all my friends know that “a fire still burns in our hearts that cannot be extinguished”.

Being in this place is not something I wished for, but also it should not be a cause for regret. We are aware and we understand that rebellion against the State is vital, but it also entails risks. If anarchists attack something that others hold sacred, then those people will not be able to tolerate anarchism. That is what underlies all our fears. Whenever someone opposes and seeks to destroy something we hold sacred, of course we will resist with all our strength. (more…)

Eight killed in protest against Australian gold mining in Bima (Indonesia)

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

As part of the campaign for solidarity with the freedom struggle in Indonesia, we print this report from a comrade there:

On 24 December 2011, the tragedy happens in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Four people (media local said) died (eight now confirmed dead – killed by police during the resistance). It began when thousands of people including farmers blockaded the harbour of Sape in Bima. They protest to the government which had given permission to PT SMN to mine gold in the area of the area about 24.980 hectares. The people there are worried about the environmental damage. It is because most of the people there work as farmers and fisherman. The presence of the mine will destroy water sources and finally the agricultural ways in the area will be damaged.
