How can I purchase tickets to shows?
Most shows are pre sold through the Caravan Music Club website www.caravanmusic.com.au. Tickets can be printed at time of purchase and should be taken to the show to be checked at the door. Bookings for shows and reserved seats or tables can also be made via info@caravanmusic.com.au . Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the day/night of the show (if still available).
Can I refund/exchange my Tickets?
We ask that you carefully choose the show (and day/night) you are booking tickets for as there are no refunds or ticket exchanges available once payment has been made unless a show is postponed or cancelled. Full ticketing terms and conditions can be found here.
What are the bookings fees for ticketing?
Booking fees are charged by our ticketing provider to cover admin costs and are not refundable. The current charge is 0.30c per ticket.
Are shows at the Caravan Club seated or standing?
Most performances will have a seating allocation (usually reserved by prior booking) as well as a general admission component. However there are occasionally some shows that are standing only or fully seated.
How can I reserve a seat?
For performances where there is a reserved seating component you can book online through the Caravan website. The allocation of tables and chairs will be on a first come first served basis i.e. those that book first will get tables closest to the stage. On arrival at the venue you will be allocated a table number when you present your ticket at the door. Please see here for more information on our reserved seating policy.
Can I combine my table booking with another party who had made a separate booking?
In most instances this is quite possible, but not guaranteed. Please email info@caravanmusic.com.au with your request as early as possible prior to the day of the show and we will do our best to accommodate you.
What are the normal show running times?
For most evening shows doors open at 8:00pm. For Friday, Saturday & Public Holiday eve shows support act will be on stage at around 8:40pm and headline artist on stage 9:40pm. On other nights (Sun – Thu) support act goes on at 8:30pm and headline artist at 9:30pm. For Sunday afternoon shows doors open at 3:00pm and music generally commences at 3:30pm. Please check the website for scheduled playing times for each show as times can vary depending upon the individual artists and the number of acts on the bill.
Can I eat at the venue?
The Dining Room is open most show evenings between 6:00pm and 8:30pm and meals and snacks can be ordered from the Caravan Kitchen. On popular show nights it is recommended that you book in advance to reserve a table. Please see here for further information and contact details. We are currently not running a regular Dinner & Show option in the main band room. However, we intend to offer this election for selected shows in the future so keep your eye on the website and our regular newsletter for announcements.
How do I get to the venue?
The Caravan Music Club is located at the Oakleigh-Carnegie RSL in Drummond Street, Oakleigh. Directions to the venue and public transport options are located here.
Can I park near the venue?
There is ample parking space on Drummond Street and surrounds with over 250 designated car spaces within close proximity to the venue.
Can under age patrons attend shows?
People under the age of 18 years are allowed to attend shows at the Caravan Club as long as they are accompanied by an adult and have a valid ticket (if required).
Is there a dress code at the venue?
There is no strict dress code at the Caravan Club, but we ask that you wear suitable foot wear, i.e. no thongs and the like as this is a safety issue.
Is there a smoking area?
Smoking is permitted in the Beer Garden.
Do you have wheelchair access?
There is wheelchair access via the front entrance through the foyer straight into the band room. Please ask our staff for assistance if required.
Can I bring recording devices like audio, tape, camera or film into the Caravan Club?
No, you cannot record an artist’s performance. You would require permission from the artist and the venue as per the Copyright Act, as the performance is “owned” by the artist. The final authority to allow or not allow such recording devices on the night rests with the artists performing and not the venue.
