Korkoro ("Alone" in the Romani language) is a 2009 French drama film written and directed by Tony Gatlif, starring French actors Marc Lavoine, Marie-Josée Croze and James Thiérrée. The film's cast were of many nationalities such as Albanian, Kosovar, Georgian, Serbian, French, Norwegian, and nine Romani Gatlif recruited in Transylvania.
Based on an anecdote about the Second World War by the Romani (Gypsy) historian Jacques Sigot, the film was inspired by a Romani who escaped the Nazis with help from French villagers. It depicts the rarely documented subject of Porajmos (the Romani Holocaust). Other than a band of Romani people, the film has a character based on Yvette Lundy, a French teacher who was active in the French resistance and deported to a concentration camp for forging passports for Romani. Gatlif had intended to make a documentary but the lack of supporting documents led him to present it as a drama.
The film premiered at the Montréal World Film Festival, winning the Grand Prize of the Americas, amongst other awards. It was released in France as Liberté in February 2010, where it grossed $601,252; revenues from Belgium and the United States brought the total to $627,088. The film's music, composed by Tony Gatlif and Delphine Mantoulet, received a nomination in the Best Music Written for a Film category at the 36th annual César Awards.

When Jimi Lazer, front-man guitarist of the up-and-coming rock band LAZER US gets wind of this six-stringed magic, he pays a visit to the House Where Dreams Come True. Inside, a cloaked witch presents an ordinary stratocaster. "Is this it?" he asks. "This'll make me as famous as Hendrix?" The witch smiles and Jimi takes what he came for. But there's a catch. The cost is more than he is willing to pay. Realizing she won't let him back out of the deal, he now lives under a curse. Jimi takes the guitar and disappears. No one hears from him again. Twenty-seven long years pass. A mystery man in a black hat drives a beat-up van down a lonely road. He stops to read a sign in front of a vast field: "Welcome to Limbo". Then, as if led by a higher power, he gets out and walks to a distant horse trailer, opens the door and finds the long lost Jimi Lazer. The name of the man in the hat is Freedom; he is Jimi's old manager. He tells Jimi that he has had a vision... a dream... and he offers Jimi a chance to make his dream come true and also break the curse once and for all.

Oh, my honey, take my money
I do what I wanna do
Don't you know the sun is shining
I'm sure trying, I ain't crying
My feet won't touch the ground
I ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
Freedom
No more walking or fast talking
No thing's gonna wear me out
I'm sure glad I wasn't born a fool, yeah
Someday, baby, you'll be my lady
I know that it won't be long
We ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
Freedom
Oh, honey, honey, honey
Taking all my money
I do what I really wanna do
Oh, the sun is shining
I tried, I tried, I tried, I tried
I never, never cried
Oh, my feet won't touch the ground
I ain't got no more misery
Spread the word I'm living again
Tell the whole world I'm loving again
Don't you know I feel like giving again
