Nine News Presenter lashes out in 'catty' off-air wardrobe row2:06

A presenter for Channel Nine News in Australia has been deemed a bully and a 'Regina George' by viewers after footage was leaked of her berating a colleague for wearing the same color as her on January 11. In the clip, which first appeared on website Mumbrella, Amber Sherlock can be seen giving a stern reprimand to colleague Julie Snook for wearing white, when she had specifically told her not to as she was wearing the color as well, as was guest psychologist Sandy Rea. Sherlock then commanded Snook and the wardrobe team to find a jacket that Snook could wear to cover up her white shirt. In the clip, the screen goes black for a couple of minutes but the women can be heard speaking to each other before they were officially on air. When they were on air, Snook was wearing a black jacket. Amber Sherlock had her Twitter and Instagram accounts set to private at time of writing. Reaction to the off-air spat is included below. JULIE Snook was living dangerously on the Allan Border medal blue carpet, in a Carla Zampatti gown that had punters questioning her choice to wear a very pale gown off the back of jacketgate.

“It’s definitely not white,” the Nine presenter who was embroiled in controversy earlier this year when footage of Amber Sherlock yelling at her about her white top emerged laughed.

“It’s more rose gold,” she added.

Asked whether she’s consider wearing white on air again, Snook said she’d be back in her favourite hue in no time.

“I love it, I always wear it,” she said.

Snook was again vociferous in her defence of Sherlock, once more trotting out Nine’s line that the pair were tight.

“We’ve been having a good laugh about it, we’re really good friends,” said the sports reporter.

As to rumours that the Nine Afternoon News host is notoriously difficult, Snook once more stuck to the party line.

“I haven’t even seen those stories, but she’s great. We are great friends,” she reiterated.

Snook made headlines after her off-air spat with Sherlock, who berated her for wearing the same colour top as her — white.

While Sherlock attempts to regain her reputation, it seems as though industry experts are applauding Snook for remaining calm and not making a huge deal of the situation.

Insiders have told The Daily Telegraph an investigation was launched immediately, but they believe a producer/editor downloaded the video then released it.

Footage of the fight was leaked almost two weeks ago, gaining traction worldwide — even US talk show host Jimmy Kimmel weighed in on the gaffe.
