Undergarment

Undergarments are items of clothing worn beneath outer clothes, usually in direct contact with the skin, although they may comprise more than a single layer. They serve to keep outer garments from being soiled or damaged by bodily excretions, to lessen the friction of outerwear against the skin, to shape the body, and to provide concealment or support for parts of it. In cold weather, long underwear is sometimes worn to provide additional warmth. Special types of undergarments have religious significance. Some items of clothing are designed as undergarments, while others, such as T-shirts and certain types of shorts, are appropriate both as undergarments and as outer clothing. If made of suitable material or textile, some undergarments can serve as nightwear or swimsuits, and some are intended for sexual attraction or visual appeal.

Undergarments are generally of two types, those that are worn to cover the torso and those that are worn to cover the waist and legs, although there are also garments which cover both. Different styles of undergarments are generally worn by females and males. Undergarments commonly worn by females today include bras and panties (known in the United Kingdom as knickers), while males often wear briefs, boxer briefs or boxer shorts. Items commonly worn by both sexes include T-shirts, sleeveless shirts (also called singlets or tank tops), bikini underwear, thongs, and G-strings.

"100 Years" is a song written and recorded by American recording artist Five for Fighting (John Ondrasik). It was released in November 2003 as the first single from the album The Battle for Everything.

Music video

The music video was directed by Trey Fanjoy and premiered in January 10, 2004. It placed at number 30 on VH1's Top 40 Music Video Countdown of 2004, spending 18 weeks on VH1's weekly Top 20 countdown. In the video, images of Ondrasik singing and playing the song at the piano are intercut with fictional, idealized versions of himself as a fifteen-year-old boy, a man in his middle forties, and a ninety-nine-year-old man, reflecting the song's lyrics. At the end of the song, Ondrasik meets his older self.

Chart performance

In December 2004, on the Billboard end-of-the-year music chart, "100 Years" was ranked at number 77 for the year, though it peaked at number twenty-eight. "100 Years" was also the longest running number-one single of the year on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks chart, staying at number-one for 12 non consecutive weeks.

Career

Gong graduated with B.A. Theater degree at Kyung Hee University. He started his showbusiness career with small parts in dramas and films. He landed his first lead role in Biscuit Teacher and Star Candy in 2005. His acting talent caught the attention of casting directors and audiences and he has become an actor to watch. Gong Yoo initiated and pursued production of a theatrical adaptation ofGong Ji-young's novel The Crucible, a gift from his senior as congratulation for his promotion during enlistment. This movie was internationally released under the title Silenced. The film sparked public outrage upon its release on September 22, 2011. This led to a reopening of the investigations into the incidents on which the novel and film are based. Public demand for legislative reform reached the National Assembly, where a revised bill to target sex crimes against minors and the disabled, dubbed the Dogani Bill after the Korean title of the film, was successfully passed in late October 2011.
