Failed One Nation candidate Brian Brighton is planning to run as an independent in the WA March election and wants all drug addicts to be dumped on an island to fend for themselves.
Mr Brighton nominated to run for One Nation in the seat of Joondalup, but was knocked back by party leader and founder Pauline Hanson because of his past criminal conviction.

Pauline Hanson on WA issues
Pauline Hanson is in Perth to discuss her views on what's best for Western Australia.
Mr Brighton was open about the fact he was fined $5000 back in 1993 for stealing departure tax stamps and selling them for $1000 while working as a customs officer.
Ms Hanson then took the extraordinary step of conducting a Facebook poll via Sky News, asking the public if it would vote for a convicted criminal.
Despite more than 60 per cent of the people saying Mr Brightman should be given a second chance, One Nation refused to endorse him.
"Pauline is a good woman and I can understand her being a little bit hesitant - maybe thinking about the backlash after a few things came out with other candidates," he told WAtoday.
So as he launches his bid to run as an independent in the state, the 54-year-old said the "war on drugs" was an abject failure and the only way to treat ice addicts was to put them on an isolated island.
"Why not put them on an island and say 'here's all the wood you need, here's seeds, here's animals make yourself self-sufficient'," he said.
"The government gives them ice that they have manufactured themselves and the ice addicts stay on the island until they've hit rock bottom and then they make the decision to get off it.
"And when they get to rock bottom and say they want to get out, then you move them to a different island.
"And when you are ready, then you can move to the next place and they go cold turkey.
"Then they get introduced back into society."
He even advocates the brutal war on drugs sanctioned by the controversial President Rodrigo Duterte, which has seen thousands of "pushers" killed in the last six months in the Philippines.
"Duterte has got a 92 per cent approval rating with his executing of the drug lords," he said.
"The pure problem has been attacked and eliminated and the Philippines almost improved overnight.
"Eventually we are going to have to do the stuff he is doing because we are not going to have any money left. And it's going to be dog eat dog because people are going to be killing themselves anyway."
Mr Brightman, originally from England, also backs One Nation leader Pauline Hanson's push to ban Muslim immigration.
"Europe is in for major problems and in Sweden I think within six months there will be a civil war between Muslims and non-Muslims," he said.
"In my home town of Luton there is a whole section that is a no go for Muslims.
"How can that be happening? How can are leaders be so stupid to let this happen?"
He has set up a Facebook page calling on donations to fund his political campaign.
Mr Brightman is yet to decide where he will run, but was aiming for a spot in the Senate.
"I know I've got a record and people will think I'm on the take but I'm not," he said.
"I'm going to be funding this myself and I need help.
"I need help from Australians."
