I Enjoy Being Chinese - Jack Ong
Fabulously funny original song parody -- "I Enjoy Being Chinese"! Jack Ong (channeling Liberace) has a great time with the special lyrics he wrote to the tune of "I Enjoy Being A Girl" from Rodgers & Hammerstein's Broadway hit musical FLOWER DRUM SONG and the 1961 Oscar & Golden Globe nominated film version starring the wonderful Nancy Kwan. Jack's video performance of "I Enjoy Being Chinese" was directed, filmed and edited by Bill Major. ENJOY!

Jack Ong (Untold Stories)
The Chinese American Museum (CAM) is proud to present Untold Stories: A Community Oral History Program that highlights the stories of Chinese American extras as part of the Hollywood Chinese: The Arthur Dong Collection exhibition. The highly entertaining oral histories reveal passion and enthusiasm for Hollywood movie-making as well as their resilience in working in an industry not known for promoting diversity
The culmination of the program was the opportunity for the students to engage in a conversation with the participants and to learn about their experiences working in Hollywood from the 1930s to the present.

So You Think You Can Speak Toisan with Jack Ong
Back in August 19, 2010.
After the Screening of "Journey of a Paper Son" featuring Jack Ong and a speech about the dialect of Toisanese and how it is a dying language. Jack Ong creates his first annual event called "So You Think You Can Speak Toisan" at the Chinatown Service Center.
"Although few of the young ladies and gentlemen had ever heard of Angel Island or paper sons, a number of them did speak Toisanese along with English, Mandarin and/or Cantonese. When Bobby's fearless co-leader, the perky Mabel Chan, said she wanted to show me firsthand that her command of Toisanese was better than his and Andrew's, I couldn't resist encouraging a little spirited competition over ice cream — "So You Think You Can Speak Toisanese!"" - Jack Ong
