Byron P. Howard (born 1968) is an American animator, film director, producer, screenwriter, story artist and occasional voice actor at Walt Disney Animation Studios, and is best known as the lead character animator on Lilo & Stitch and Brother Bear and co-director of Bolt and Tangled.
In May 2013, it was reported that Howard is directing an animated animal comedy film for Walt Disney Animation Studios. A few months later, it was revealed that the film would be titled Zootopia, and is scheduled for release in March 2016.
Rich Moore (born May 10, 1963) is an American animation director and a business partner in Rough Draft Studios, best known for his work on The Simpsons, Futurama and Wreck-It Ralph.
Moore studied animation at California Institute of the Arts. During his college years at CalArts, he narrated his friend Jim Reardon's student film Bring Me the Head of Charlie Brown.
His animation directing credits include the television series The Simpsons, Futurama, The Critic, Drawn Together and Baby Blues, and the segment "Spy vs. Spy" for MADtv. He was also sequence director on The Simpsons Movie, and served as a supervising director on the Fox television series Sit Down, Shut Up, which debuted in 2009. On Futurama, he served as supervising director for the entire original series, though the post was shared by Gregg Vanzo in the first production season and with Bret Haaland for the second production season.
Moore directed the theatrical feature Wreck-It Ralph for the Walt Disney Animation Studios, released on November 2, 2012, and proved to be a worldwide success. He also supplied the voices for the characters Sour Bill and Zangief of Street Fighter. For 2016, he is directing, along with director Byron Howard and co-director Jared Bush, another Disney animated film, Zootopia.
Zootopia (also known as Zootropolis in Europe) is an upcoming American 3D computer-animated action buddy comedy neo-noir adventure film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is the 55th Disney animated feature film.
The film is being directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore, co-directed by Jared Bush (in his directorial debut), and starring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman. It is scheduled to be released by Walt Disney Pictures in Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D on March 4, 2016 making it the first animated Disney film since Treasure Planet to be shown in domestic IMAX theatres.
The film, along with Moana, will mark the first time since 2002 that Walt Disney Animation Studios has released two feature films in the same year.
In the mammal metropolis of Zootopia, Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) enlists herself in the Zootopia Police Department. In order to solve the case of a missing otter, she ends up forming an unlikely partnership with con artist Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) where they also come across a savage outbreak upon the missing predator citizens.
Disney Animation: The Illusion of Life (576 p.) is a book by Ollie Johnston and Frank Thomas, two of the animation masters at Disney's during the Golden Age of animation, referred by Walt Disney as his "Nine Old Men". Topping the list of "best animation books of all time" in a poll at AWN, it is still used as reference on and source of inspiration for character animation.
The book gives a history of Disney animation and explains the processes involved in clear, non-technical terms. The philosophy of the Disney animators is expressed in the so-called 12 basic principles of animation. It contains 489 plates in full color, and thousands of black and white illustrations ranging from storyboard sketches to entire animation sequences.
The 1981 edition published by Abbeville Press (ISBN 0896592332) used better quality paper and subsequently image quality than the 1988 edition and revised one from 1995 (ISBN 0-7868-6070-7) published by Disney's Hyperion with the inverted title The Illusion of Life: Disney Animation .
The Walt Disney Company, commonly known as Disney, is an American diversifiedmultinational mass media and entertainment conglomerate headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California. It is the world's second largest media conglomerate in terms of revenue, after Comcast. Disney was founded on October 16, 1923, by Walt Disney and Roy O. Disney as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio, and established itself as a leader in the American animation industry before diversifying into live-action film production, television, and theme parks. The company also operated under the names The Walt Disney Studio, then Walt Disney Productions. Taking on its current name in 1986, it expanded its existing operations and also started divisions focused upon theater, radio, music, publishing, and online media.
In addition, Disney has since created corporate divisions in order to market more mature content than is typically associated with its flagship family-oriented brands. The company is best known for the products of its film studio, The Walt Disney Studios, which is today one of the largest and best-known studios in American cinema. Disney also owns and operates the ABC broadcast television network; cable television networks such as Disney Channel, ESPN, A+E Networks, and ABC Family; publishing, merchandising, music, and theatre divisions; and owns and licenses 14 theme parks around the world. The company has been a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average since May 6, 1991. An early and well-known cartoon creation of the company, Mickey Mouse, is a primary symbol of The Walt Disney Company.

Ghosts from the past
Two of them in flesh
Sailed across the seas
The ultimate invasion
Cause of deprecation
Storming the fields
Of a hostile kingdom
And absurdity
In the minds of the deranged
Are the laws of holiness
To be re-arranged
Morbid messenger of god
In sonic warfare
Sets the rites of immortal
And a burden to bear
Restless souls preventing sleep
Craved by the tired eyes
Forgotten ones
Of the lost decade
About to lose another one
Forgotten ones
Of the lost decade
About to lose another one
And all shall decay
For the unholy grail
Roaming fifty leagues a day
Bless the corpses of the past
Who rose upon the dawn
In the minds of the deranged
Are the laws of holiness
To be re-arranged
Morbid messenger of god
In sonic warfare
Sets the rites of immortal
And a burden to bear
