Stuntman Johann Ofner's final Instagram posts

Johann Ofner posted videos showing a selection of guns on the Bliss n Eso music video set just hours before the actor was shot dead in an underground Brisbane bar.

Hours earlier, the Gold Coast man had been shot in the chest filming what he described as an "Asian gangster" scene for Aussie hip hop group Bliss n Eso's latest music video.

The crew was filming in Brisbane's Brooklyn Standard basement bar and paramedics couldn't revive the AMPM (Art of Motion Pursuit of Movement) fitness leader, prompting a wave of grief from dozens of friends and family members.

"Today the love of my life was taken from me and I still can't believe it," Ms Garnett posted.

"I don't know what I'm going to do with out you, (sic) the best people are always taken from us you were a true Angel.

"I love you so so much forever and ever."

He was due to take part in Channel Nine's upcoming Australian Ninja Warrior series, which would pit him against other powerful individuals over an intense obstacle course.

Friends were excited to see him compete but were instead grieving their lost mate, described over and over again as an inspiration and a great friend.

"The world has lost one of its brightest lights today, you were an inspiration to us all," Amber Parucha wrote.

"The fire you've ignited and your passion for life will live on forever."

Others mourned for his two girls, Ms Garnett and his daughter, while still more recounted individual times he'd influenced them in small or huge ways.

"RIP yogi bear," Cory Lyons wrote.

"You were taken way too young and with so much more to live for in life.

"To many people you were a inspiration although a friend to all aswell (sic)."

Fellow stuntman Lockie Robbie, the brother of Hollywood star Margot, posted his own tribute, describing Mr Ofner as a true legend.

"Life is like a garden it is always the most beautiful flowers that are picked first," he said.

"It is with a gut wrenching and heavy hearted sorrow that I say today I've lost a mate, today our community has lost a brother, today a family has lost a leader but most of all today this world has lost one of its few best souls."

Life is like a garden it is always the most beautiful flowers that are picked first. It is with a gut wrenching and heavy hearted sorrow that I say today I've lost a mate, today our community has lost a brother, today a family has lost a leader but most of all today this world has lost one of its few best souls. They say in life you will die twice - once your last breath leaves our bodies and once when the last person we know say our name. Your influence and passion, kindness and strength, motivation and encouragement, drive and determination will be greatly missed as will your infectious smile and laugh. It's safe to say you were a true legend in every aspect of the word and will always be remember as the great man that you truely were. Your influence and encouragement on those around you will be missed. Today you left this world making it a better place for those around you then when you first entered it. Your family will be in our prayers as will too the people who were there when this unfortunate incident occurred. For all the hate they are getting I ask that you all remember how they must be feeling as a lot of us do know them and want the best for them too. No one death is more tragic than another only the circumstances surrounding it and in a great tragedy today we lose you. You chased your dreams and made them a reality you might be gone from us now but we will forever hold you in our minds and hearts so you will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Johann Ofner I look forward to the day our path cross again. Till then let your spirt fly free brother you will be missed

Brooklyn Standard general manager Justin De Beer said both the bar and the restaurant next door, Chingon, would remain closed until further notice.

"We're all pretty disappointed now, just pretty upset and quite shook up about what happened yesterday," he said, adding that he and his manager were inside at the time of the shooting.

"Our thoughts are with the family."
