"The wind was pushing me."
That was the creative excuse a West Australian driver gave police for driving close to 20km/h over the speed limit.
Local police didn't buy the excuse, fining the driver of the Holden Rodeo $200 and deducting two demerit points on Monday.
The person was allegedly driving 127km/h in a 110km/h zone, and was caught in Bootenal, in the state's Mid West region.
Three Springs Police later tweeted "And the excuse of the day goes to..." with a photo of the fine paperwork.
