Solitude is a state of seclusion or isolation, i.e., lack of contact with people. It may stem from bad relationships, loss of loved ones, deliberate choice, infectious disease, mental disorders, neurological disorders or circumstances of employment or situation (see castaway).
Short-term solitude is often valued as a time when one may work, think or rest without being disturbed. It may be desired for the sake of privacy.
A distinction has been made between solitude and loneliness. In this sense, these two words refer, respectively, to the joy and the pain of being alone.
Symptoms from complete isolation, called sensory deprivation, often include anxiety, sensory illusions, or even distortions of time and perception. However, this is the case when there is no stimulation of the sensory systems at all, and not only lack of contact with people. Thus, by having other things to keep one's mind busy, this is avoided.
Still, long-term solitude is often seen as undesirable, causing loneliness or reclusion resulting from inability to establish relationships. Furthermore, it might even lead to clinical depression. However, for some people, solitude is not depressing. Still others (e.g. monks) regard long-term solitude as a means of spiritual enlightenment. Indeed, marooned people have been left in solitude for years without any report of psychological symptoms afterwards.
Eleanora Fagan (April 7, 1915 – July 17, 1959), professionally known as Billie Holiday, was an American jazz musician and singer-songwriter with a career spanning nearly thirty years. Nicknamed "Lady Day" by her friend and music partner Lester Young, Holiday had a seminal influence on jazz music and pop singing. Her vocal style, strongly inspired by jazz instrumentalists, pioneered a new way of manipulating phrasing and tempo. Holiday was known for her vocal delivery and improvisation skills, which made up for her limited range and lack of formal music education.
After a turbulent childhood, Holiday began singing in nightclubs around Harlem. After being heard by producer John Hammond, who commended her voice, Holiday was signed to Brunswick Records in 1935. Collaborations with Teddy Wilson yielded the hit "What a Little Moonlight Can Do", which would later become a jazz standard. Throughout the 1930s and 1940s, Holiday booked mainstream success with labels such as Columbia Records and Decca Records. By the late 1940s, however, Holiday was beset with legal troubles and drug abuse. After a short prison sentence, Holiday performed a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. However, due to her drug and alcohol problems, her reputation deteriorated.

Plot: A coming of age story about the best times of our life; a time where the music, the fashion, and the art dictate your youth into complacency. On the day Lando turns twenty-one, all he wants is to hang out with his co-workers, bickering couple Lars and Friday; see his girlfriend Amy; then go to a party with his friends Aces, Trent and Yardbirds. Facing pressure from his stepfather, Lando discovers throughout the day that youth is as cherished as it is fleeting. The end of innocence and the blossoming of experience go hand and hand whenever accountability jades us into adulthood. Glory Boy Days proves that the deepest definition of youth is life untouched by tragedy.

Plot: Suburbiaville is just a typical metropolis populated with very atypical characters. Evil genius Dr. Milo Medlo (Ph.D) and his loyal henchman Hank are forever at odds with local good girls Justice Kitten and Little Liberty, maintaining a balance of power so delicate that the rest of Suburbiaville hardly know they exist. But in the world of Good vs. Evil, an upset in the balance could result in world annihilation, or at least unemployment for the good girls and bad guys. So when Dr. Medlo falls in love with a receptionist named Holly and loses his desire for world conquest and various other evildoings, Hank and the lawful ladies must form an unholy alliance to sabotage the relationship or risk losing their livelihoods. Others become involved along the way: a doting mother, a washed-up R & B singer, and a little girl who just may hold the key to a secret that could blow the roof off of Suburbiaville. In this town, as in our lives, it's a certainty that sometimes love goes boom!

Sorry guys I didn't realize it had been three months since the last upload.
Here is my latest mix! I managed to fit 24 songs into 1 hour which is quite a bit more than the usual 15. It also features a lot more smaller artists than usual. I called the mix 'Solitude' because I just imagine myself walking alone through a forest on a beautiful morning. ↪ Tracklist: 00:00 ~ Muffler – Snowflakes 02:11 ~ Nexus & Tight – Under the Stars 04:22 ~ Pola & Bryson – Stolen Glances (feat. Niqolas shares how spending time alone can empower, inspire, and motivate. Niqolas Ruud, originally from Portland, Oregon, is a freshman at Walla Walla University. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and attended Upper Columbia Academy during his high school years. Niqolas, currently working towards a B.A. in Theology, aims to be either a missionary, pastor, teacher, or chaplain. He says that intentional solitude has greatly benefited him as he strives to become a more positive and successful individual. During his free time, Niq enjoys “rowdy things” like alpinism, kayaking, ice hockey, and singing a cappella music. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at http://ted.com/tedx

My name it means nothing
my fortune is less
My future is shrouded in dark wilderness
Sunshine is far away, clouds linger on
Everything I posessed - Now they are gone
Oh where can I go to and what can I do?
Nothing can please me only thoughts are of you
You just laughed when I begged you to stay
I've not stopped crying since you went away
The world is a lonely place - you're on your own
Guess I will go home - sit down and moan.
Crying and thinking is all that I do
Memories I have remind me of you
