Did you work in Unifi in Letterkenny? Then Guy Le Jeune is interested in talking to you. Guy is the event organizer of Unifi-The Musical which will be performed as part of the Earagail Arts Festival this year & it shares your memories & stories from Unifi. He has set up reminiscence & story sharing sessions in An Grianan Theatre & he joins Weekend Edition to let previous workers know how we can get involved. Annabelle’s Story is one of Hope, Love, Light & Remberence. Helena Kehoe joins Greg to talk about her little girl Annabelle Heather Kehoe who died April 3rd 2014 aged just 2 years & 8 months with a very rare syndrome which effects less than one in a million. Throughout her life people lit candles for her recovery & Helena asks people to light a candle for Annabelle on 13th February in remberence of a lost child or to give light & hope for a sick child. Tom Feeney is an Event Co-Ordinator of Parkrun, which began in Falcarragh on Saturday 9th January. Parkrun is a global event, where you show up at your local Park, Beach or promenade every Saturday morning & run a 5km, & all parkruns are organized by a group of dedicated volunteers. He returns to the show this Saturday to tell us how it’s all progressing. Cast your mind back to the Lovely Girl Competition, the annual event on Craggy Island in Father Ted, well a local shop in Kerry named East River have come up with something very similar; a Lovely Legs Competition & Patricia Murphy, Journalist with Indo Life & Independent.ie joins Greg live from the shop to discuss the competition! BEO is a musical event organized by Transition year students throughout the County. Letterkenny schools involved are Loreto Secondary School & St. Eunan’s & they will organize concerts which promote the Irish language. Charlotte O’Donnell, a member of the BEO committee joins Greg in studio to tell us of the event they are organizing next Friday 5th in the RCC in Letterkenny. Your feet hold a lot of information & are helpful indicators as to areas of imbalance & lack in our bodies. Patricia Swann, Holistic Health Therapist joins Greg to talk about her practice. She tells us of Buteyko Breathing & Thought Field Therapies. Also in studio, Niall Hannigan of the Donegal Youth Council on the importance of registering to vote prior to GE16
