A woman is in a critical condition after she was hit by a truck as she got out of her car in Sydney's south on Monday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Stoney Creek Road, Bexley shortly after midday following reports a woman in her 50s was injured.
The initial police investigation suggests that she was struck as she exited her Toyota Rav 4. Nine News reported she was parked in front of her own home when the collision occurred.
The woman was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before she was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition.
Nine News reported that the truck driver was believed to be in his 30s and called triple 000 to report the collision.
The driver was not injured in the collision and underwent mandatory blood and urine tests.
The woman remains in a critical condition on Monday evening.
