Garage rock is a style of pop music, a raw and energetic variety of rock and roll that flourished in the mid-1960s most notably in the United States and Canada, but also elsewhere. At the time it had no specific name and was not recognized as a separate genre, but critical recognition in the early 1970s, and particularly the release of the 1972 compilation album, Nuggets, did much to define and memorialize the style. The term derives from the perception that many groups were young amateurs who rehearsed in the family garage, though many were professional.
The style, a precursor to psychedelic rock, is characterized by sometimes aggressive and unsophisticated lyrics and delivery, often using guitars distorted through a fuzzbox. Surf rock and subsequently the Beatles and the beat groups of the British Invasion motivated thousands to form bands in the US and elsewhere from 1963 through early 1968. Hundreds produced regional hits, and a handful had national chart hits. With the advent of psychedelia, a number of garage bands incorporated exotic elements into the genre's primitive stylistic framework, but after 1968, as more sophisticated forms of rock music emerged, garage rock records largely disappeared from the national and regional charts.
"In Love" is a song written by Mike Reid and Bruce Dees, and recorded by American country music artist Ronnie Milsap. It was released in June 1986 as the third single from the album Lost in the Fifties Tonight.
"In Love" was Milsap's 44th single to be released, and his 29th No. 1 hit on the Billboard country charts. The song came during the peak of his success as country music singer as it was part of an uninterrupted string of several No. 1 hits to his credit.
The song was also one of several songs written by songwriter Reid which became major hits for Milsap.

In Love with These Times," a four-part celebration of lo-fi aesthetics and high-pitch partying. In Part One, we try to define "garage" and explore the origins of the genre. ABOUT THE FILM After a brief nod to garage's humble beginnings amongst American youth in Detroit during the 1960s and its contribution and influence on '80s punk, New Garage Explosion!!: In Love With These Times focuses on the scintillating present. As it pans trans-nationally, the camera profiles artists like the late Jay Reatard, Black Lips, The Dirtbombs, Thee Oh Sees, Smith Westerns, Vivian Girls and many more in an attempt to understand not only the exponential ascent of garage rock's popular...

Most of these bands don't even play on the radio, at least, in Portugal, where i live. I know some people don't like my music taste, but i'm ok with that. Maybe this is a good way ...
