The Age Live: 2016 Year in Review

Earlier this month, The Age subscribers attended an exclusive Age Live event to hear our award-winning journalists discuss the biggest stories of 2016.

Hosted by Age editor, Alex Lavelle, and senior crime reporter, John Silvester, the panel included Caroline Wilson (chief football writer), Nick McKenzie and Richard Baker (investigative journalists), Tony Wright (national affairs editor), Josh Gordon (state political editor), Martin Flanagan (writer) and Adele Ferguson (senior business writer).

In front of a record crowd of 700 subscribers, the panel shared their thoughts on the events that defined 2016; including Australia’s Federal Election, law and order under the Andrews government, exposés such as the CommInsure scandal, and the Western Bulldogs victory.

To wrap up the evening, the panel shared their thoughts on what 2017 may bring.

If you missed the event or want to relive the best moments, here are exclusive video recaps and photographs from the evening…
