As the victim began to browse in the fruit and vegetable section, the footage shows another woman approaching her trolley, before taking her purse from her bag.
On Monday police announced they had charged a woman over the incident.
"We are happy to let you know thanks to a number of calls to Crime Stoppers, a 45-year-old female from Morley was arrested and charged on Saturday with two counts of stealing," police said.
"This included stealing from a 79-year-old lady in Mundaring that we showed you on Thursday."
The charged woman will appear in court on February 17.
