Driving under the influence (DUI) or Driving while intoxicated (DWI) is the crime of driving a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol or other drugs (including those prescribed by physicians), to a level that renders the driver incapable of operating a motor vehicle safely. The name of the offense varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction and from legal to colloquial terminology. Other terms include: drink-driving, drunk driving, drunken driving, impaired driving, operating under the influence, drinking and driving, over the prescribed limit (OPL). People who receive multiple DUIs are often struggling with alcoholism or alcohol dependence.
With alcohol, a drunk driver's level of intoxication is typically determined by a measurement of blood alcohol content or BAC. A BAC measurement in excess of a specific threshold level, such as 0.05% or 0.08%, defines the criminal offense with no need to prove impairment. In some jurisdictions, there is an aggravated category of the offense at a higher BAC level, such as 0.12%.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA, pronounced "NITS-uh") is an agency of the Executive Branch of the U.S. government, part of the Department of Transportation. It describes its mission as "Save lives, prevent injuries, reduce vehicle-related crashes."
As part of its activities, NHTSA is charged with writing and enforcing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards as well as regulations for motor vehicle theft resistance and fuel economy, the latter under the rubric of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) system. NHTSA also licenses vehicle manufacturers and importers, allows or blocks the import of vehicles and safety-regulated vehicle parts, administers the vehicle identification number (VIN) system, develops the anthropomorphic dummies used in safety testing, as well as the test protocols themselves, and provides vehicle insurance cost information. The agency has asserted preemptive regulatory authority over greenhouse gas emissions, but this has been disputed by such state regulatory agencies as the California Air Resources Board.
A thumbs-up or thumbs-down is a common hand gesture achieved by a closed fist held with the thumb extended upward or downward in approval or disapproval, respectively. These gestures have become metaphors in English: "The audience gave the movie the thumbs-up" means that the audience approved of the movie, regardless of whether the gesture was actually made.
The source of the gesture is obscure, but a number of origins have been proposed.
Carleton S. Coon, having observed Barbary apes in Gibraltar using the gesture, hypothesised in the anthropological classic The Story of Man that it is a mutual celebration of having opposable thumbs. Critics have suggested, however, that the apes may be simply imitating humans.
The Latin phrase pollice verso is used in the context of gladiatorial combat for a hand gesture used by Ancient Roman crowds to pass judgment on a defeated gladiator. However, the precise type of gesture described by the phrase pollice verso and its meaning are unclear in the historical and literary record.

You can’t trust yourself when you drink. Put the keys away and grab a sober friend, call a taxi, or take public transportation home. If you drive drunk, you better hope that all that happens is getting busted by the cops. Drunk driving is a deadly epidemic that takes the lives of 10,000 people each year, on average. Don't listen to the man in the mirror. Drive sober or get pulled over.
How to stay nauseous all day and complicate your life. NHTSA would like to remind everyone to Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. For more information visit http://www.nhtsa.gov/drivesober. The Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus Test - the NHTSA horizontal gaze eye movement test Field sobriety tests DO NOT prove or disprove sobriety. Field sobriety tests also do not prove driving impairment. Always REFUSE this roadside testing by police at a DUI checkpoint. The walk and turn, horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN) evaluation (the eye test), and the one leg stand (OLS) evaluation are all optional, voluntary, and should never be attempted by you at the roadside, in an effort to avoid an arrest for DUI-DWI. No loss of driving privilege accompanies refusing to take these non-scientific tests. These evaluations are not done by police officers correctly, even in this training video used in Georgia, and are subjectively graded. To learn the facts about field sobriety tests, CALL an experienced DUI...
This dynamic rollover crash test was conducted to investigate the dynamics of belted occupants during rollover crashes. This test was conducted with a modified 2007 Ford Expedition on the FMVSS 208 rollover cart moving at 48.1 km/h (29.9 mph), releasing the vehicle with its roll axis perpendicular to the direction of rollover cart motion, and first contacting the passenger's side. The vehicle was modified by replacing the rear seat with a modified front seat to simulate similar characteristics in both seating positions. The center console was also removed. The air bags were disabled for this test condition. The OEM belts and buckles were replaced in all positions. The driver and left rear seats were replaced with a seat with integrated 3-Point belts without pretensioners. The right front p...

[Mastamind]
I'm wonderin should I and how could I
Escape from the planet of the apes
Gorilla meister, suicide's quicker
But I'd rather beat the killer dead then dead
Nigga body bled, red flows through the river
When dead men float but I step through the smoke in Heaven
It's no emergency whatsoever, so never apologetic
It's hectic and devilish in the killin fields
Gone take more than Michael Jackson to make the world heal
I'm ill, so many wish for my death I feel I'm suicidal
But I don't mess all what they want me to do is die
So ressurect the show from related chemicals
Mad science count it down as it rolls and it blows
It's me, tickin time bomb walkin freely
Through any facility, ain't no killin me
[CHORUS x4]
Niggaz kill me, they wanna kill me
They fuckin with the real in me
They wanna see the ill me
Niggaz kill me hopin my futures lookin dim
I just go with the flows movement of dead men don't swim
Plus my religion, never livin in fear
Need a witness leave one of these bitches, with chicks to volunteer
To fuck with me never fuck with me, what it be
I'm ready to die, my life is just a luxury
Defended be defenseless, sweat by the minutes
I'm sick, never drownin in my own shit
Do or die, you came to fry, you justify
Sticky for the niggaz who do voodoo in the sky
This game of death we play is for killas only
And its a bitch, these bustas runnin up on me
[CHORUS]
Look it, behavior sins tales to the cowardly
Stiff enough to break in half, break off every worker on the staff
Your last days is numbered by my wicked ways
I hate to say it, but every step wrong ya stepped into a grave
It never ceased to amaze me
I gotta X every nigga who thought you lookin at? You all a crazy
Dead men walkin through the grave zone
I'm sick of waitin for death like I got the wrong colors on
This ain't Killa Cali, Detroit is where I'm from
Next gangbangin ass nigga to claim my hood won't live to see the sun
Never thought I'd have to step in the middle a war on my block
Killa murder plot, fuck it you
