Police have charged a 10-year-old boy with trespass and theft after he, and a 27-year-old man, were found hiding in grass outside a Welshpool building site.
Police say the boy and the man were both found wearing gloves, head torches and in possession of bolt cutters.
Officers went to the scene around 10.30pm on Friday after reports of a suspicious vehicle parked outside the construction site.
They found a stack of copper wire near the car.
Police dog Slam was released and tracked down the pair, holding them at bay until officers arrived and arrested them.
The man and the boy were both charged with trespass and theft. WA police revealed the arrests in a post on their Facebook page.
