FILM DESCRIPTION:
The hit cable series Sex and the City catwalks its way onto the big screen in this feature-film continuation that fans all over have been clamoring for. Sarah Jessica Parker returns once again as Carrie Bradshaw, the style-maven journalist whose romantic exploits were the key focus of the show. Also reprising their roles are Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon, with the series' executive producer Michael Patrick King taking on writing and directing duties. Several years have passed since viewers last saw Carrie and company, though she's still involved with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) and completely consumed by her obsession for name-brand accessories. Meanwhile, Miranda is adjusting to married life and motherhood, Charlotte is still clinging to her dreams, and Samantha and handsome, steely eyed TV star Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis) are now living together out in L.A. Of course, when the girls all come together, it's just like old times. Dreamgirls' Jennifer Hudson co-stars as Carrie's assistant.

Keyboardist-composer Vijay Iyer’s energized sequence of ECM releases has garnered copious international praise. Yet his fifth for the label since 2014 – 'Far From Over', featuring his dynamically commanding sextet – finds Iyer reaching a new peak, furthering an artistry that led The Guardian to call him “one of the world’s most inventive new-generation jazz pianists” and The New Yorker to describe him as “extravagantly gifted… brilliantly eclectic.” 'Far From Over' features this sextet of virtuoso improvisers – with horn players Graham Haynes, Steve Lehman and Mark Shim alongside rhythm partners Stephan Crump and Tyshawn Sorey – leveraging a wealth of jazz history even as it pushes boldly forward. The music ranges from the thrillingly explosive (“Down to the Wire,” “Good on the Ground”) to the cathartically elegiac (“For Amiri Baraka,” “Threnody”), with melodic hooks, entrancing atmosphere, rhythmic muscle and an elemental spirit all part of the allure. “This group has a lot of fire in it, but also a lot of earth, because the tones are so deep, the timbres and textures,” Iyer says. “There’s also air and water – the music moves.”

"An Angel" is a 1994 song written and recorded by The Kelly Family. It is the 12th track on their album Over the Hump and the first single from that album. It's one of their most famous songs. Paddy Kelly wrote it for his mother, Barbara Kelly, who died in 1982. The song was also covered by Declan Galbraith and is the first single and the opening track of his album "Thank You".

Send Me an Angel (Real Life song)
"Send Me an Angel" is a 1983 song by Australian band Real Life. Initially released on Real Life's debut album Heartland, it is the band's most well-known song. This version originally peaked in early 1984 in the US at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song's biggest chart success, however, was in 1989, where an updated version entitled "Send Me an Angel '89" surpassed the original version from 1983. "Send Me An Angel '89" reached a peak of No. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the summer of 1989 in the US. Both versions are very similar; the 1989 version is missing the louder "claps" in the chorus and the drums sound much less electronic, more like an acoustic kit, as opposed to the typical 1980s electronic drums sound heard on the original. The song is prominently featured in the 1989 film The Wizard, the 1986 film Rad, and the 1987 film Teen Wolf Too.

An Angel
"An Angel" is a 1994 song written and recorded by The Kelly Family. It is the 12th track on their album Over the Hump and the first single from that album. It's one of their most famous songs. Paddy Kelly wrote it for his mother, Barbara Kelly, who died in 1982. The song was also covered by Declan Galbraith and is the first single and the opening track of his album "Thank You".
