Super Saturday re-cap
Eagles beat Hawks by 25 at Domain on Friday night but both sides have lost their ruckman -- Nic Naitanui and Jon Ceglar -- to a season-ending knee injuries. The loss means Hawthorn have surrendered top spot.
The Swans travelled to play the Roos on their 'home' ground (Blundstone Arena) and walked away with a nine-point win and top spot on the ladder. Superstar Lance Franklin was kept goalless and may have injured his ribsin a clash with defender Scott Thompson during the first half. The loss means North are now vulnerable to missing the eight if Dees keep winning and North loses next week to GWS.
The Saints held on to beat the fast-finishing Tigers by nine points at the G. Dustin Martin did his Brownlow hopes no harm, racking up 31.
At Spotless, the Dockers trailed by just seven point at the first change against GWS but only kicked one more thereafter as the Giants posted a 92-point win and gained some valuable percentage. The Giants sit fourth, seven percent ahead of Geelong. One suspects they'll be back in fifth tomorrow night after the Cats play the Lions.
The Suns have been in town all week in an attempt to mix up their pre-game routine. Dare say they won't be doing it again after the Pies' 71-point win. Adam Treloar was best-on with 38 and a goal. Sean Lemmens did not play the second half after he was bumped by Jesse White and stretchered off.
Saturday saved the best for last with Showdown 41 serving up another beauty. With just a point in it at the final change, Adelaide held its nerve to win by 15 points with 250 gamer Eddie Betts finish with five. The win has the Crows in second place. Matt Crouch won the Showdown medal for his 33-disposal game. Their only concern is how the MVP will look at this Rory Sloane bump on Brett Ebert.

The Showdown is my favourite game as a neutral to watch every year. There is actual hatred out there. Fantastic spectacle. #AFLPowerCrows

Crows inefficient up forward
The last three scores have been Crows' behinds.
A goal to Port would really make it interesting.
Win lose or draw this is just the game @Adelaide_FC needed before the finals #AFLPowerCrows
