Simon White - Editor

Simon would love to be able to say that he achieved a long-held ambition by becoming a journalist. But the truth is, he pretty much bumbled his way into this game.

He enrolled in media studies because he heard you got to watch Indiana Jones for class, took about seven years to finish a degree and then finally worked out journalism was for him when someone paid him $100 to write about a basketball game (a much better rate of hourly pay than he was getting for cleaning the stadium in which the match was played).

Since then he's worked in Kalgoorlie, Brisbane, Adelaide and, of course, Perth. He's covered almost every sport you can think of (and some you might not be able to), worked for the Who Weekly of legal magazines, had a stint manipulating truth for politicians and had three awkward conversations with Leigh Matthews.

Simon enjoys playing bad golf, watching good golf, talking about fantasy golf, supporting the Fremantle Dockers and baiting West Coast supporters.

He holds many opinions - some of which may even be half-way reasonable - and isn't afraid to express them. In case you haven't read any of his work, he isn't overly keen on giant French puppets.
