Fremantle Dockers player Harley Bennell has been fined $400 and disqualified from driving for nine months after being caught driving while suspended in December.
The talented midfielder had his licence suspended in November after losing all his demerit points, but was caught driving by police in December.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced in Fremantle Magistrates Court on Friday morning.
Bennell, who has been plagued by a calf injury since being recruited to the Dockers in 2015, travelled to Germany in December to undergo cutting-edge treatment on his leg.
The 24-year-old, who is yet to play a home and away game for his new club since being recruited from the Gold Coast Suns, has been restricted to running laps during pre-season training.
His minor off-field indiscretion comes as teammate Michael Johnson faces an assault charge, while retired Docker Shane Yarran faces an assault and unlawful wounding charge.
The Dockers will play their first pre-season match against West Coast in Geraldton on February 26.
