Long Beach

We were having a great time until the band promoter came over to us asking for $10 per person for listening to the band, I said we would love to give a tip but if you're gonna request $10 per person than you should post a $10 cover charge. Not get mad at someone if they don't want to give you, $20 for something the restaurant should be paying for.

Very accommodating, great service, everyone was friendly, our server did the best she could with the narrow pathways, food was served fairly quickly and was tops, everyone at my table enjoyed it, The bands were great the sound was great the volume wasn't too loud, what i found really amazing is when it came time to leave 4 hours later, our server who only heard my name once 4 hours earlier said, thank you steve with eye contact and a gorgeous smile, very Impressive. It was standing room only, a packed house, great place. Thank you Gaslamp :)

The new Paramount location is now open! But it's small and super busy! Came for dinner on a Friday night and got there just before a huge rush. The cashier was super patient and helped us navigate the huge menu. Ordered the Shaken Beef with garlic noodles, Pad Thai with beef, and Beef Pho. Our food came out within 10-15 minutes, except the Pho...somehow they didn't get a ticket for the pho, but were able to have it ready fairly quickly. Everything was delicious. Shaken beef was lacking in beef, especially for the price, but there were plenty of garlic noodles, sautéed onions and bell pepper. The pad thai ans pho were huge portions. Plenty leftover for dinner again the next day. The pho came with lots of noodles, beautiful purple basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, cilantro, green onion, the works! We also had a chamoy mango smoothie with tajin. Liked it, but would probably order it with half the chamoy if we had it again. The staff was so kind and helpful. We and other guests were constantly attended to by the staff checking on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything. They were truly caring for everyone even though they were extremely busy. So please add a good tip, they do a great job. We came back Saturday morning for coffee. Paramount opens daily at 7am for coffee, holler!! But, I have to caution you to stop here for coffee of you are in a rush to get to work, the drinks take a long time... we ordered the Coffee Float - Vietnamese coffee with their house made sea salt whipped cream (they need to go easy on the salt next time!), Hot Horchata - double espresso with Horchata and steamed milk (ahmazing!) And a mocha Latte (meh). I really wanted a hot mocha Horchata....but they said they couldn't do that...you can have hot Horchata or a hot mocha, but for some reason you can't have a mocha and Horchata together unless it's the cold drink...ok... lol. The barista making our drinks was still very nice and apologized for the wait. They just need more time getting used to making the wide variety of drinks they offer. (Drinks were flying out of the kitchen Friday night, so they are getting there. We will be back. Everything that was coming out to other guests looked so good and can't wait to try something new.

Went out aboard the Black Pearl yesterday 2/19/2017 hoping to catch a halibut for the Halibut Derby. Unfortunately, only two were caught for the entire trip with a few sand bass in the mix. Great crew, very helpful and patient. I'd definitely fish the Black Pearl again!

Best bar in long beach by far. Friendly staff that knows what the local music scene wants. Family vibe and all around good place to throw a show or catch your favorite band local or old school. Thank you Alex for bringing this community years of shows and amazing drinks. Cheers and happy new year. Hoping to catch strung out this month!🎉🎶🍻

Had to visit the ship as my aunt and uncle came back from Europe after WW2 on the ship. We paid $25 each for to walk around the ship, tours cost an extra $10 each. The ship is a working hotel so don't expect it to be like a museum. That being said it was nice to walk on the wooden decks and visit the shops, mostly still original. You can also walk through the engine room, bar far the highlight. The ship is undergoing some renovations, much needed to be honest. The Churchill pub is closed and services relocated. I appreciate the fact that the ship has been mored in Long Beach for fifty years but some areas are really showing their age... Still worth a visit as there are no other ships like it remaining.

I was here for a charity fundraising event (for Assistance League LB Cameo), in their very large banquet hall. The service in the bars and at the tables was excellent, and they were all friendly and efficient. But what actually inspired me to write this review was the fact that the hotel offered a very tasty vegetarian/vegan option, (which is unfortunately unusual in most hotel banquets/weddings I've gone to.) The butternut squash ravioli dish was delicious, and I thank you for considering the restrictions of those who choose not to eat animal products 😄💕

A clear choice for the future and I love Downtown Long Beach The final stretch of the race for the 2016 California State Assembly elections has begun. In the lead-up to the elections, you need to be on the lookout for some of the most promising candidates that are capable of transforming the community for the better. The security of the local homes and businesses is her ultimate priority. Martha believes in bringing the power of fighting crime to the people. To that end, she proposes the formation of a Public Safety Association & Establishment and an overhaul in the Neighborhood Watch Program. In addition to empowering the people, she also intends to work for a well-funded and well-resourced police and fire departments. Building effective and responsive teams, that can continue to serve the people without any limitations, is her way of doing things. And she plans on achieving that by keeping local funding local.

So this is the only option in the LA area. While I was there after a terrible storm, there was a lot of trash around.Maybe it's different after they get it all cleaned up? I didn't mind that the parking lot was flooded. I do like that it appeared to have "free parking" my dog had a blast playing in the sand. Would definitely recommend it if you are in the area.

What I like about this beach are the (super) calm waves. Parking is conveniently close, and the cleanliness. To add more to the fun, kids can bring float devices. ☀️

I was so moved by every single piece of Art. I'm looking forward to my next visit. This is a must see museum. For those of you who live in the LB, stop driving by and stop in for a visit. I guarantee you'll love it. And don't forget to bring the kids because it's kid and family, straight, gay or single friendly. Have fun!

The Black Expo I attended was wonderful. I didn't know there was such a gem as this place in Long Beach. Thank you!

So I have not been able to be out of the house for about five months. We decided on the spur of the moment to go out and one of our friends suggested we go to Shoreline Village. We took a walk on the boardwalk with me in a wheelchair and started over by Parkers lighthouse. We walked the all the way to the opposite end of the boardwalk stopped at a few places but some beef jerky some hot sauce and had a very great experience in those two stores I wish I knew the name of the stores right off hand but I'm sorry I don't. We decided to go and eat at Parkers Lighthouse Restaurant and the food was excellent for a very good price actually a great price. Then after we ate we went and had funnel cake sundae it was very delicious. So my experience there was excellent for the first time of going I will definitely we will definitely be returning

I was bummed when I saw that it closed down last year, but I wanted to get a photo by the world famous sign. I was surprised when I got there that they have re opened just 2 doors down. I went in and talked with Kevin for a while and picked up some records and shirts. Definitely a cool place to visit, Kevin is super laid back and down to earth, awesome to do business with. I highly recommend anyone who likes music especially the west coast era stuff to stop by and see the place.

I was a little worried that we would drive all the way from riverside, spend two hours there and then say "what now?" I was wrong! There are so many exhibits and things to see that we spent all day there!! Our two year old had such a great time that she is still talking about it. We had lunch at the scuba cafe and the food was delicious. It was, however, a little pricey. $57 for a family of three. When we were ready to leave we walked the little park next to the aquarium then walked to the shops across the harbor. I would highly recommend my friends and family visit.

I arrived at the venue with 15 minutes to spare. I thought i was sure to be late. The parking was not bad at all and the parking attendants had us pass with efficiency. The entrance was quick and we were told exactly where to go. In the arena the ushers escorted us to our seats. We were in our seats at the start of the show. This event was well planned and was very organized. It was a great experience and i am sure to come again.
