"So Sorry to hear about Robert Waller. I loved the Bridges of Madison County. I went to one of his Book readings and signings in Alpine, TX and met him. I'm familar with Clamity Creek where he had a home. My thoughts and prayers are with his family."

"To the loving family of R. James Waller,
I am saddened to learn of the untimely passing of your husband/father. I felt as if I knew him, as I owned at least one copy of every book he wrote (including the college one). I especially enjoyed his book of photographs, his music, and his short stories that were published in the Iowa newspapers. I sent my sister, because I was working in Iowa at the time, to a book signing in Alpine for his sequal to The Bridges.
