The episodes' plot follows Conan Edogawa's daily adventures.
The episodes use six pieces of theme music: two opening themes and four ending themes. The first opening theme is "I can't stop my love for you♥" by Rina Aiuchi until episode 305. The second opening is "Kaze no Rarara" (風のららら?, lit. "Wind of Lalala") by Mai Kuraki for the rest of the season. The first ending theme is "Yumemita Ato de" (夢みたあとで?, lit. "After I Dream") until episode 287. The second ending theme is "Mushoku" (無色?, lit. "Colourless") by Azumi Uehara until episode 299. The 23rd instalment of the "Detective Conan" franchise and of the "Case Closed" series based on Gosho Aoyama's manga series of the same name. This time the focus is on 'blue lapis fist', the world's greatest blue sapphire. It is said to have sunk in the late 19th century, in a pirate ship on the coasts of Singapore. When it is displayed at an exhibition at the Singaporean Marina Sands hotel, after a local millionaire retrieves it, a murder takes place there. At the crime scene, a bloody Kaitou Kid card is found.

Case closed, end of story
I'll silence you even before you start.
I'll draw the line and make it thick,
make it so thick that all can see.
I'll modify a brand new line
for you to cross, you won't survive.
Can't kill the speed, a vicious being
forget utility, this is all about me.
I've bled for what I've said
but I had to let it out
can't keep my mouth shut.
You fools, I give you five across the eyes this time,
a statement by the hand, five across the eyes.
Won't cope with the world, reduced knowledge
getting crowded, absorbed by it all.
I still prefer life before decay
just condemn me, I don't care.
I've bled for what I've said
but I had to let it out
I'm about to explode.
You fools, I'll give you five across the eyes this time,
