The app is about worthless
UPDATE: the update released a few days ago did NOTHING to correct these issues!!! I can deal with the comments thing, but I manage a weather page for my community where I frequently post animated radar images taken from the RadarScope app, and I usually type up a description of what people are seeing. I sometimes might spend 5-10 minutes typing that up, and when I go to post, it doesn't show up on the post!!! That's a HUGE problem!!! FIX IT!!!
I've been using Pages for nearly four years, going all the way back to my old iPhone 3GS, and never have I run into more issues than I have with this latest update.
First, merging comments into messages is completely unintuitive and is causing me to miss messages to my page. Separating comments from likes in the regular notifications tab would have made MUCH more sense. This needs to be addressed in the next update.
Second, I've uploaded two videos today, and in both cases, the description I typed out for the post didn't get posted. So, I had to go back and EDIT the post, re-typing the caption. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.
These are my two greatest beefs with the app, and they are both significant. Please issue a fix that quashes the bugs and places comments back in the notifications tab!
Tired of it deleting my descriptions/text
As good as this app could be, it has wasted so much of my time. I spend a lot of time on the text accompanying my pictures, and I would say about a third of the time it goes missing when I post. It's embarrassing when I think I've posted something, and days later someone points out that there was no description to explain a picture or video. It's infuriating when I have to go back and type numerous descriptions all over again if I forgot to copy and paste it all (you know, because I pretty much expect it to be deleted at this point).
Push notifications not real time
A huge part of the reason I use this app is to manage my business fb page on the go. It's fine when you check it regularly, but it doesn't send through push notifications in real time. That means if someone writes my page a message, unless I'm looking at the app, it doesn't come through. Now my average response time is "responds same day" instead of "responds immediately."
And often that's the difference between converting a sale or losing one.
