Deborah Snyder (née Johnson) is an American producer of feature films and television commercials. She is married to filmmaker Zack Snyder, and has worked as his frequent producing partner on films such as Watchmen and 300. She is the co-founder of the production company Cruel and Unusual Films.
Deborah Snyder is married to filmmaker Zack Snyder. The couple first met in 1996, and married on September 25, 2004 at the St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Manhattan, New York. They currently reside in Pasadena, California.
Prior to her career as a film producer, Snyder worked at the New York advertising agency Backer Spielvogel Bates. In 1996, she hired Zack Snyder to direct a commercial for Reebok, hoping to create a commercial with a cinematic feel. At the time, she was dating the art director of the commercial, while Zach Snyder was married. In 1997, Snyder served as producer for the television documentary Talk to Me: Americans in Conversation. In 2002, she hired Zack Snyder to direct a commercial for Soft and Dri deoderant in New Zealand. The couple began dating at the end of filming. In 2004, the couple became the co-founders of Cruel and Unusual Films alongside their producing partner Wesley Coller.
Deborah (Hebrew: דְּבוֹרָה, Modern Dvora, Tiberian Dəḇôrā ; "Bee") was a prophet of the God of the Israelites, the fourth Judge of pre-monarchic Israel, counselor, warrior, and the wife of Lapidoth according to the Book of Judges chapters 4 and 5. The only female judge mentioned in the Bible, Deborah led a successful counterattack against the forces of Jabin king of Canaan and his military commander Sisera; the narrative is recounted in chapter 4.
Judges chapter 5 gives the same story in poetic form. This passage, often called The Song of Deborah, may date to as early as the 12th century BC and is perhaps the earliest sample of Hebrew poetry. It is also significant because it is one of the oldest passages that portrays fighting women, the account being that of Jael, the wife of Heber, a Kenite tent maker. Jael killed Sisera by driving a tent peg through his temple as he slept. Both Deborah and Jael are portrayed as strong independent women. The poem may have been included in the Book of the Wars of the Lord mentioned in Numbers 21:14.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the DC Comics characters Batman and Superman, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is intended to be the follow-up to 2013's Man of Steel and the second installment in the DC Extended Universe. The film is directed by Zack Snyder, with a screenplay written by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will be the first live-action film to feature both Batman and Superman, as well as the first theatrical film to feature live-action portrayals of Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg.
The film was announced at 2013 San Diego Comic-Con International, after the release of Man of Steel. Snyder and Goyer were both brought back in June 2013. Snyder stated that the film would take inspiration from the Batman limited series The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller, but that it would follow an original premise. Pre-production began at East Los Angeles College in October 2013, with principal photography starting in May 2014 in Detroit, Michigan, with additional filming in Chicago, Illinois. Filming concluded in December 2014. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to be released in the United States on March 25, 2016, in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D.
Zachary Edward "Zack" Snyder (born March 1, 1966) is an American filmmaker, best known for action and science fiction films. Snyder made his feature film debut with the 2004 remake of the horror film Dawn of the Dead, which earned a good box office return and positive reviews from critics. He has gone on to be known for his comic book movies and superhero films, including 300 (2007) and Watchmen (2009), as well as the Superman film that started the DC Extended Universe: Man of Steel (2013) and its upcoming follow-ups, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Justice League Part One (2017) and Justice League Part Two (2019).
Snyder is the co-founder of Cruel and Unusual Films, a production company he established in 2004, alongside his wife Deborah Snyder and producing partner Wesley Coller.
Snyder was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, and raised in Riverside, Connecticut. His mother, Marsha Manley (née Reeves), was a painter and a photography teacher at Daycroft School, which Snyder later attended. His father, Charles Edward "Ed" Snyder, worked as an executive recruiter. He was raised as a Christian Scientist. Snyder attended Camp Owatonna in Harrison, Maine, during the summer months as a child. Snyder's mother inspired him to study paintings a year after high school at Heatherley School of Fine Art in England, although he had already begun filmmaking. Afterward, Snyder attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California (where he was classmates with Michael Bay).

During our wide-ranging conversation she talked about changes during development, shooting in IMAX, the idea behind the Star Wars Easter Egg, what’s different about the R-rated extended cut coming on Blu-ray, when we might hear the official title for Justice League, what they learned from friends and family screenings and test screenings, and a lot more. Man of Steel director Zack Snyder and his wife Deborah, the film's producer, braved the weather and a malfunctioning umbrella, which collapsed on them mid-interview, for the European premiere in London. Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in the film, said it was one of the quickest casting processes ever, but the Snyder's have a different opinion. "Well for him it might have been the quickest, but we scoured the ends of the Earth to find him," Deborah revealed. "But then we actually only screen-tested one man, and that was Henry." Zack chipped in adding that "the fact Henry's not horribly ugly" helped with their decision. Report by Laurie Blake. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is much bigger than its two titular superhero. This is really where the DC Cinematic Universe begins, and the train has already left the station for what Warner Bros. and the coterie of producers have in store for the superheroes who make up the Justice League. With Wonder Woman and Justice League -- Part 1 already in production, the creative forces behind the DCCU are hard at work shaping the universe and one of the heavy hitters is producer Debbie Snyder, who, along with her husband and production partner, BvS director Zack Snyder, has been a major player in the formation of Warner Bros' superhero slate. At the press day for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Steve Weintraub spoke to producer Debbie Snyder about the tone of next two DC movies, David A...
With a subtitle like Dawn of Justice, we knew Batman v Superman would be giving us a tease of what’s to come in the imminent Justice League movie, which starts production in a few short weeks. What we didn’t know was how director Zack Snyder would be incorporating looks at these other Justice League members, which include Ezra Miller as The Flash, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg, with Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman filling a supporting role in the film. But now that Batman v Superman is in theaters, we can start digging deeper into the how and whys of these cameos, and I imagine the one most folks are curious about is Ezra Miller’s The Flash. His character actually gets two appearances, one alongside the other Justice League members when Wonder Woman is going through Lex Luthor...

A few days ago I got to do something very cool: I spent the day on the London set of Zack Snyder’s Justice League along with a number of other reporters. While I’m normally prevented from revealing what I saw and learned on set till a month or so before release, in an unusual move, Snyder and Warner Bros. are lifting our embargo only a few short days after arriving home! In my many years of running Collider, I can count on just a few fingers the amount of times an embargo has lifted so soon after a visit. It’s an amazing surprise and something I wish happened more often. Anyway, while on set we conducted interviews with Ben Affleck (Batman), Zack Snyder, producers Deborah Snyder and Charles Roven, costume designer Michael Wilkinson, spoke briefly with Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller...

When the two biggest names in comic books meet, the audience loses. My review of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This was by far the most work I put into one video. The movie was really an onion. You peel off one crappy layer and you find a whole new layer of crap under it. All third-party material used for parody and criticism under fair use. No copyright infringement intended. All videos written, edited, and narrated by Robert Setlock, III unless otherwise stated. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. 2016. Directed by: Zack Snyder. Written by: Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, Bob Kane (Batman created by) and Bill Finger (Batman created by), Jerry Siegel (Superman created by) and Joe Shuster (Superman created by). Produced by: Wesley Coller, David S.
