The heat will ease slightly in comparison in Parramatta, reaching 36 degrees on Monday and 41 on Tuesday.
Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Andrew Haigh said a brief reprieve is set to come just in time for commuters to begin Tuesday's trip home.

"We'll have a southerly change during the afternoon on Tuesday â that will really be a sharp temperature contrast and cool things down a lot," he said. "Showers and a storm [are] probably likely on Tuesday as well ahead of that change."
Mr Haigh said the weather would offer "a bit of everything on Tuesday."

"[We'll have]Â a hot night to begin with, a very hot peak in the afternoon, before a much cooler change late in the afternoon."
Even with the cool change, Tuesday night will drop to 24, with the minimum to ease as the week goes on â paling in comparison to some of the overnight minimums closer to 30 degrees in Sydney recently.
