The Gunslinger, by Stephen King

This will be my second book by King, really excited to read it. Last week I finished Tuesdays with Morrie, by Mitch Albom which was absolutely fantastic.

Do yourself a favour, waste no time in jumping into Drawing of the Three when you finish.

You won't regret it.

Thank you! I'll go to the library and check it out then

The gunslinger is a weird one. Not a lot of stuff will make sense. Just roll with it.

Nothing makes sense so far! I love the way King writes though, it's still gripping even though it's kinda strange.

I admittedly put this book down after 20-30 pages and came back to it after 2 months and finished it in 2 days. Might have to re-read the series sometime. My fiance said she wouldn't mind if I read them to her.

I'm up to Wolves of the Calla in the series. The Gunslinger was the hardest to get through so far. I still liked it, but it gets much better.

I love this book so far, so that's really encouraging!

Oh man. Tuesdays with Morrie has wrecked me two separate times in life. It's a book I feel you can always come away from with something new, depending on where you are in life at that moment.

This isn't the typical King style of prose. I think he was like 19 when he wrote it and was still developing. I feel like the word transmogrified was used a lot. The book tells a great story though, and sets up an incredible universe that is weaved in and out of a lot of his books. One of my favorite series.

Haven't seen that word once and I'm 3/4 of the way through! It's extremely descriptive, which so far is similar to the other book I read by him :)

E: Finished two of the books in this series, still looking for transmogrified!
