Itinerary Announcement

We’re altering our itinerary for 2017. Specifically, we’ll have an extra day in Loreto. Specifically specifically, because on the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, March 7 (i.e. smack-dab in the middle of JoCo Cruise), we’ll be holding a music and food festival that we’re calling “JoCoachella”.

Another Sea Day!

San Diego, CA

(Day 1 – Sat. Mar. 4)

Our port of departure has the sun, the beaches, and the climate to die for. And is, of course, home of San Diego Comic-Con. Lots to do before or after we sail, including a visit to The San Diego Zoo, or just kicking around the Gaslamp District, which has a boggling number restaurants and hangout spots. Beaches? Yep: Coronado, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla. Not a bad start.

Sea Day!

(Day 2 – Sun. Mar. 5)

The sea days are when JoCo Cruise really shines. In addition to the Official performances, there’s a host of other onboard activities, gaming and writing events and panels, and JoCo Cruise’s famous “Office Hours,” where Official guests host informal gatherings in a wide variety of venues. Some of which may just be bars.

Cabo San Lucas

(Day 3 – Mon. Mar. 6)

Maritime desert climates, beaches galore, crystal-blue surf, and big game fish along the southern coast of rugged Baja California. Find classic Mexico in San Jose del Cabo, the old town, and a resort-fringed coast nearly always slathered in sunshine. Wear sunglasses on Lover’s Beach, and forays to Las Playitas — a series of mini-beaches tucked into weathered coves.

Loreto

(Day 4 & 5 – Tue. & Wed. Mar. 7 & 8)

This seaside village awaits us with its malecon, ocean and shore adventures, and enough quaintness to fill a seaside mountain-sized burrito. Not a common cruise ship destination, Loreto is ready to welcome Sea Monkeys with open arms.

And on Day 4 (Tue. Mar. 7), we will be throwing a big music and food festival (“JoCoachella”) where everyone can get together for awesome shows (including Jonathan’s big “full band” set) and to sample the local cuisine.

Scenic cruising in Bahia Magdalena

(Day 6 – Thu. Mar. 9)

Bahia Magdalena is a wildlife-abundant 50 km-long bay along the western coast of Baja California Sur, known for its beautiful vistas, fishing villages and abundant wildlife. It’s home to an amazing array of birds including eagles, pelicans, herons and ibis, and is also on the California Gray Whale migration route. We’re tentatively planning a Lido Deck barbecue/party for everyone during our transit through Bahia Magdalena, the better to aid in our appreciation of the views.

Another Sea Day!

(Day 7 – Fri. Mar. 10)
