The old camp half way between Shepparton and Mooroopna, called "The Flat", was bulldozed long ago and the Indigenous population of Shepparton is now scattered throughout the city and surrounding towns. Today, the one place people come together as a community is the Rumbalara Football Netball Club it is their "Corroboree Ground" a culturally safe and nurturing venue for all ages.

Ernie was the first Indigenous Australian to be appointed a Cabinet Minister in any Parliament in Australia not only was Ernie a successful politician, he had great achievements in the country music scene. His musical talents sent him around the world, and earned him the title of "The Singing Politician".

Deadly yarns is a scheme to encourage and support indigenous participants in the development of production skills and storytelling producing unique yarns through the form of film. This is the 5th installment of the successful initiative Deadly Yarns, presenting a collection of entertaining and compelling shirt dramas and documentaries produced by new and emerging West Australian filmmakers.

Alison Page lives in the tourist town of Coffs Harbour but this Yuin Waddi Waddi woman who spent her formative years in Laperouse Sydney. Alison is one of a handful of Indigenous Interior designers in this country who has designed Aboriginal culturally appropriate housing, a pink diamond jewellery collection worth over a quarter of a million dollars, plays host on the ABC's New Inventors show.

In August 1968, 1200 people crammed the Sydney Town Hall to celebrate the first national Aboriginal debutante ball where the guest of honour was the then, Australian Prime Minister, John Gorton. 25 girls came out that night, but it was 16 year old Pearl Anderson who became the first Aboriginal girl to dance with a Prime Minister.

Pecan Summer Part 2 sees participants involved in the intensive training programs being held at the VCA in Melbourne. Creator Deborah Cheetham works with eight participants who receive tuition in performance skills ranging from vocal ensemble and movement to a Yorta Yorta language class as parts of Pecan Summer will be performed in the traditional tongue.

The story of "Pecan Summer" the opera takes us on a journey back in time seventy years ago, to the events of the 1939 Cummeragunja walk off. On the 3rd of February of that year, hundreds of Yorta Yorta chose to leave their homes with the few possessions they could carry in protest at harsh conditions and treatment by the mission's manager.
