A large bushfire has been brought under control at Coolum on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.
Police had declared an emergency about 2pm on Saturday amid concerns a wind change could create more problems.

But the alert was revoked an hour later, with Queensland Fire and Emergency Services saying the fire has been contained and not threatening property.
Fire crews remain on scene as the three-day bushfire burns near Arcoona Road, Yandina Coolum Road, Heron Road and Doonan Bridge Road, Coolum.

QFES says smoke haze may affect surrounding areas over the coming days. Residents should close windows and doors, and keep medications close by if suffering from a respiratory illness.
