New host, new sound for AM in its 50th year

Sabra Lane, one of Australia’s most experienced and respected political journalists, takes over the host’s chair on Monday, January 30. She replaces Michael Brissenden, who is moving to Four Corners after two years with AM.

ABC Regional has more than 400 staff across 48 locations whose role is to develop content, services and activities that reflect and contribute to Australia’s rural and regional communities.

ABC Radio has rolled out an updated brand identity for all capital city stations. From 9 January, ABC Radio audiences will experience a new visual and aural identity across broadcast, online and mobile platforms.

Audiences turn to ABC on every platform for 2016 NYE celebrations

In a truly cross platform event, 3.6 million viewers tuned in to ABC TV, 66,000 watched on iview, 10.2 million were reached via Facebook, 4.3 million on Twitter and 200,000 on YouTube, for last night’s spectacular celebrations from Sydney Harbour. Hosts Ella Hooper and Jeremy Fernandez celebrated the biggest night of the year with the ABC’s broadcast of New Year’s Eve 2016.
