Mclusky (often stylized as mclusky), originally known as Best, were a three-piece post-hardcore group formed in Cardiff, Wales. The group consisted of Englishman Andrew "Falco" Falkous (vocals, guitar) from Newcastle Upon Tyne, Jonathan Chapple (bass, vocals) and Jack Egglestone (drums), who replaced previous drummer Matthew Harding in late 2003.
According to the band, they originally formed in 1996 when Falkous and Harding met at the Blackwood Miners Institute, a venue in their home town from which they were both ejected for dressing as miners. The pair met Chapple a short time afterwards at the Reading Festival when they caught him urinating on their tent late in the night.
More realistically it has been suggested that Falkous and Harding met when working together at Anglian Windows, a small double-glazing call centre in Cardiff. They discussed their musical ambitions after a conversation about Reading Festival, Falkous gave Harding a tape of songs he had written on his own, and shortly after they formed a band called Best after early Beatles drummer Pete Best. The original bass player for Best was Geraint Bevan, Harding's old musical comrade from The Derelicts.
Demetri Evan Martin (born May 25, 1973) is an American comedian, actor, artist, musician, writer, and humorist. He is best known for his work as a stand-up comedian, being a contributor on The Daily Show, and his Comedy Central show Important Things with Demetri Martin.
Martin was born on May 25, 1973 to a Greek American family in New York City, New York, the son of nutritionist Lillian and Greek Orthodox priest Dean C. Martin (now deceased). He grew up in Toms River, New Jersey, and has a younger brother named Spyro.
Martin graduated from Yale University in 1995. During his time there, he wrote a 224-word poem about alcoholism as a project for a fractal geometry class, which became a well known palindromic poem. He was also a member of the Anti-Gravity Society, whose members juggle objects on Sunday evenings on Yale's Old Campus.
Although Martin was accepted into Harvard Law School, he went to New York University School of Law after he received a full scholarship. Martin withdrew from law school before the start of his final year, opting to pursue comedy over finishing his Juris Doctor.
mclusky with the classic b-side to 'undress to success', the song of course is 'join the mevolution'. I woke to the sound of eggs (we want our jobs back) They woke to the sound of me (we want our jobs back) Don't give my cousins head (we want our jobs back) And don't point that thing at me (we want our jobs back) As the bored victims of domestic violence Gather by the seashore. Bored. Never mind Russian roll (we want our jobs back) To hell with freeform spazz (we want our jobs back) I'm glad your dog is dead (we want our jobs back) At least we'll get some peace (we want our jobs back) As the bored victims of domestic violence Gather by the seashore. Noses pressed against the glass The horrible truth The horribillerbillerbiller Bored.

Jermaine Greer's favourite song ever is the mclusky 2001 song 'no covers', the song originally appeared as a b-side to 'lightsabre cocksucking blues', then re-appeared as a b-side to 'to hell with good intentions', and then raised its ugly head again on the 'mcluskyism' compilation. If I can't kill Kenny then I can't do anything right But I can't kill Kenny then I can't do anything right If I don't get drunk then I'm not a slave to drink But I don't get drunk then I'm not a slave to drink If I can't kill Kenny then I can't do anything right But I can't kill Kenny then I can't do anything right But If I stare too long then I'll probably stare too long But If I stare too long then I'll probably stare too long If I stare too long I'll probably stare too long Manna manna m...

For his entire philosophical career, Quine was a confirmed defender of extensionality. In this video, I explain what this means and why it lead to skepticism about modal logic. At around 4:20, I suggest picking up an intro to phil of language for more info on the extensions of sentences. A good intro is Morris's "An Introduction to the Philosophy of Language"; chapter 2 deals with Frege's account. Morris's book also provides, in chapter 6, an overview of the issues we'll be discussing in this series. Regarding my comment at 13:18 that violations of extensionality are okay in the case of beliefs: in fact, Quine wasn't happy with these, either. Some of Quine's work on propositional attitudes (propositional attitudes are a kind of mental state, which we express using a verb followed by ...
