It is one of the most popular electric cars in the world. First introduced in 2010 for the Japanese and USA markets, it got tremendous popularity in the the rest of the world within quite a short period of time. Nissan Leaf cars had tax benefits due to the use of zero emission power-trains, and were sold for a relatively low price tag. It is one of the many reasons why Nissan Leaf got ultimate popularity in Sri Lankan market. But the current status of Nissan Leaf cars are very pathetic.
