Are David and Victoria Beckham about to buy the most expensive house in LA?

Everyone is asking - will this be the new Beckingham Palace?

Since Posh and Becks put their $40 million Bel Air property on the market, speculation has been rife as to where they will end up.

And now, the media is suggesting that Victoria and David Beckham may be wanting to buy The Manor, which is widely considered the most expensive house in LA County.

The 123-room mansion is being advertised for sale through Christie's International Real Estate – with a massive price tag of $US200 million ($267 million).

The Daily Star Sunday has reported that the couple have their eye on The Manor, although it is not known what they might intend to do with all those rooms. But it has been stated that their next house needs a catwalk for Victoria's fashion work, a dance studio for five-year-old Harper and places for the other three children to hang out.

Perhaps, following the release of his first single, son Cruz might like part of the mansion to be given over to a recording studio.

The 5250-square-metre French Chateau-style house comes with all the trimmings. It was originally built for entertainment royalty Candy and Aaron Spelling and was extensively renovated by current owner Petra Ecclestone Stunt, daughter of Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone.

When Ecclestone Stunt bought the house in 2011 it was believed to be the most expensive house in the US.
