USEFUL INFORMATION

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO THE OPERA HOUSE – Out of respect for our customers children under four are not allowed at non-children specific shows. Infants are not permitted!

DRESS CODE – The Opera House does not have a dress code, casual attire is fine for all shows.

ALCOHOL – Yes, we serve beer, wine and mixed drinks

FOOD – We serve fresh coffee, homemade cakes and pastries, along with soft drinks and water.

HANDICAP PARKING – The Opera House is located in the historic district of old Mauch Chunk, built in the early 19th century, so parking in general is very limited.  We try our best to accommodate you, but there is no guarantee that we can provide handicapped-accessible parking for all shows.

WHERE DO I PARK WHEN I GET TO TOWN – There is no parking at the Opera House. We recommend parking at our downtown parking facility behind the Mauch Chunk Train Station / Visitors Center. It’s by the park off of route 209. Parking is free after 5pm!

I NEED TO BUY TICKETS THE NIGHT OF THE SHOW – Tickets can be purchased at the Opera House box office 1-hour prior to performance when doors open. If you’re downtown, tickets can also be reserved at SoundCheck Records (across from the hotel) until an hour before the show.

I WANT MY TICKETS HELD AT WILL CALL – If you order online, be sure to specify Will Call (beneath “Print at Home”). If you order your tickets by phone (570-325-0249 or 570-325-4009) be sure to request will-call. Your tickets will be waiting for you at our box office under your last name.

I CAN’T PRINT MY ONLINE TICKETS – Don’t worry, we have you in our system. You will just have to come to the box office and request new tickets.
