“Borders”, composed and written by Amber, is a synth hiphop song and lyrics are written in English. She delivers her hopeful message that if you pursue your goals, not giving up against limitations and hardship, someday you will have silver lining.

Before the song is released there are a couple things I'd like to share. This song took me a lot of courage to write because I was always apprehensive of the subject it talked about. I've been doing this job for a long time and right now I speak not as Amber of f(x) nor "celebrity" Amber, but just Amber. Just plain, simple, human Amber. "Borders" is more than a song; no glamorous concepts, no "trying to be cool." Its a raw and real story about reality. Its shares, not only about my personal experiences but of people very close to me. Everyone involved in this project- the producers, my team DPR, the actors, to the staff- were people specifically chosen as they have never given up on me and believed in my vision. For that, I want to thank them for making this possible for me. When you guys listen to "Borders", there is just one thing i wish everyone could take from it: NEVER give up on yourself. There is always hope in the midst of this dark, demanding world. In the end, live for those that did not get the chance to and just keep fighting. Always, thank you you guys. You guys made it possible.

Borders sometimes look pretty strange on a map. Usually, borders exist where there is a river, a mountain range or some other geographical feature. But other times, borders are complete creations of politics or old history and often times look pretty strange. This video is about five of the strangest looking panhandles found in global borders; a panhandle being a part of a country that juts out away from the rest of the country.

In this video I look at some of the most complex international border. Of course, there are more complex borders in the world, but this video looks at some of my favourites.
I look at the 3 enclaves countries of the world: Vatican City, San Marino and Lesotho. As well as Campione d'Italia, an Italian exclave which is an enclave of Switzerland.
I then take things up a notch and look at enclaves within enclaves. The town of Baarle which is in the Netherlands and Belgium is an incredibly complicated border. But not quite as much as the Cooch Behar region of India and Bangladesh.
This is followed by a look at the odd situation of Bir Tawil, the only unclaimed land on Earth outside of Antarctica (which is itself a place for complex borders!)
I finish off the video by looking at the island of Cyprus, which may look like a borderless island, but is in fact far from it!

Some international borders are boring, demarcated by nothing more than a compass reading. But others are a bit more dramatic. These real photos of the spots where nations meet nations each tell a story.

1. Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana
This is Mt. Roraima, a stunning triangular mountain that demarcates the boundaries of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana.
2. The United States and Canada
This is a building in Derby Line, a town that sprawls across both the American and Canadian sides of the border.
They keep their mayonnaise on the Canadian side.
3. Malaysia and Singapore
Malaysia and Singapore are connected by a freeway that spans across the water. If you look closely,
you can see that the quality of the road changes at the border.
4. West and East Berlin
While Berlin is no longer carved up into an Eastern and Western bloc, you can still see the old border from the air at night. Eastern Berlin used sodium light bulbs,
which give off a yellower light than the West’s halide bulbs.
5. Haiti and Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic (right) has more stringent environmental protection laws than Haiti (left).
This is readily apparent at the border, where the Dominican forest abruptly ends.
6. The United States and Mexico
This is the most frequently crossed border in the world.
It’s also the most dramatic wealth discrepancy between any two bordering nations other than Israel and Palestine.
America is on the left, Mexico on the right.
7. Macau and China
In China, you drive on the right side of the road, and in Macau, you drive on the left.
This posed a challenge to engineers, who developed this confusing but effective loop system to make the switch safely.
8. Argentina and Chile
This statue of Jesus is meant to symbolize peace between Argentina and Chile. It is in the Andes mountains.
9. Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay
The confluence of the Parana and Iguazu rivers form a natural separation between Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.
10. India and Pakistan
India and Pakistan have had a violently contentious relationship for a long time, and those tensions play out at the border.
Every day, when the flags are lowered, guards from both countries attempt to outperform one another in strange marches.
11. Spain and Portugal
If you want to cross the Spanish / Portugese border in style, why not take this zip line? It’s 2,362 feet long,
which is more than enough time for you to fish your passport out of your pocket.
12. North and South Korea
This photo was taken in the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea,
where soldiers from both countries stand face to face.
13. Hungary, Austria and Slovakia
The borders of Hungary, Austria and Slovakia meet at a single point, adorned with this triangular picnic table.
It features beautiful views of some grass.
14. Brazil and Bolivia
Brazil is a more metropolitan, industrialized nation than Bolivia, and it s hows in the deforestation pictured above.
Brazil’s on the left, Bolivia’s on the right.
15. Norway and Sweden
This is possibly the most x-treme border in the world, which gets covered in gnarly powpow for many months out of the year.
16. The Northern and Southern Hemispheres
This is Middle of the Road Park, in Ecuador.
This line shows the division between the northern and southern hemispheres of the planet.
17. Spain and Morocco
This fence on the border of Spain and Morocco was built in the city of Cetua to prevent illegal immigration.
18. Greece and Turkey
The flags indicate which side of this bridge belongs to whom. Much like Malaysia and Singapore,
you can here notice a discrepancy in the quality of the road as it passes from one country into the other.
19. Bosnia and Croatia
This is a pretty stunning difference,
especially when you take into account the fact that the Croatian building looks like it’s riddled with bullet holes.
20. Netherlands and Belgium
This is the Baarle Nassau Frontier Cafe, that’s built literally on the Netherlands side of the border.
Some real culture shock when you take the step over into Belgium.

Netherlands-based photographer Valerio Vincenzo created a project called ‘Borderline, the Frontiers of Peace’, a series that explores changes that have occurred during the last decade in Europe regarding global conflicts and the signing of the Schengen Agreement. The agreement states that the borders between European countries need to be erased and peaceful borderlines need to be established.
The photographer travelled along these borderlines, clicked them and showcased ‘the essence of not borders but peaceful crossings’.

Border
Borders are geographic boundaries of political entities or legal jurisdictions, such as governments, sovereign states, federated states, and other subnational entities. Some borders—such as a state's internal administrative border, or inter-state borders within the Schengen Area—are open and completely unguarded. Other borders are partially or fully controlled, and may be crossed legally only at designated border checkpoints and border zones may be controlled. Mostly contentious, borders may even foster the setting up of buffer zones.
Borders
In the past, many borders were not clearly defined lines, but were neutral zones called marchlands. This has been reflected in recent times with the neutral zones that were set up along part of Saudi Arabia's borders with Kuwait and Iraq (however, these zones no longer exist). In modern times, the concept of a marchland has been replaced by that of the clearly defined and demarcated border. For the purposes of border control, airports and seaports are also classed as borders. Most countries have some form of border control to regulate or limit the movement of people, animals, plants, and goods into or out of the country. Under international law, each country is generally permitted to define the conditions that have to be met by a person to legally cross its borders by its own laws, and to prevent persons from crossing its border when this happens in violation of those laws.

Netherlands-based photographer Valerio Vincenzo created a project called ‘Borderline, the Frontiers of Peace’, a series that explores changes that have occurred during the last decade in Europe regarding global conflicts and the signing of the Schengen Agreement. Borders sometimes look pretty strange on a map. Usually, borders exist where there is a river, a mountain range or some other geographical feature. But other times, borders are complete creations of politics or old history and often times look pretty strange. This video is about five of the strangest looking panhandles found in global borders; a panhandle being a part of a country that juts out away from the rest of the country. The Most Complex International Borders in the World
In this video I look at some of the most complex international border. Of course, there are more complex borders in the world, but this video looks at some of my favourites. I look at the 3 enclaves countries of the world: Vatican City, San Marino and Lesotho. As well as Campione d'Italia, an Italian exclave which is an enclave of Switzerland. I then take things up a notch and look at enclaves within enclaves. The town of Baarle which is in the Netherlands and Belgium is an incredibly complicated border. But not quite as much as the Cooch Behar region of India and Bangladesh. This is followed by a look at the odd situation of Bir Tawil, the only unclaimed land on Earth outside of Antarctica (which is itself a place for complex borders!) I've been doing this job for a long time and right now I speak not as Amber of f(x) nor "celebrity" Amber, but just Amber. Just plain, simple, human Amber. "Borders" is more than a song; no glamorous concepts, no "trying to be cool." Its a raw and real story about reality. Its shares, not only about my personal experiences but of people very close to me. Everyone involved in this project- the producers, my team DPR, the actors, to the staff- were people specifically chosen as they have never given up on me and believed in my vision. For that, I want to thank them for making this possible for me. When you guys listen to "Borders", there is just one thing i wish everyone could take from it: NEVER give up on yourself. 1. Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana

you can see that the quality of the road changes at the border.
4. West and East Berlin
While Berlin is no longer carved up into an Eastern and Western bloc, you can still see the old border from the air at night. Eastern Berlin used sodium light bulbs,
which give off a yellower light than the West’s halide bulbs.
5. Haiti and Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic (right) has more stringent environmental protection laws than Haiti (left).
This is readily apparent at the border, where the Dominican forest abruptly ends.
6. The United States and Mexico
This is the most frequently crossed border in the world.
It’s also the most dramatic wealth discrepancy between any two bordering nations other than Israel and Palestine.
America is on the left, Mexico on the right.
7. Macau and China

This is Mt. Roraima, a stunning triangular mountain that demarcates the boundaries of Brazil, Venezuela and Guyana.
2. The United States and Canada
This is a building in Derby Line, a town that sprawls across both the American and Canadian sides of the border.
They keep their mayonnaise on the Canadian side.
3. Malaysia and Singapore
Malaysia and Singapore are connected by a freeway that spans across the water. If you look closely,
you can see that the quality of the road changes at the border.
4. West and East Berlin
While Berlin is no longer carved up into an Eastern and Western bloc, you can still see the old border from the air at night. Eastern Berlin used sodium light bulbs,
which give off a yellower light than the West’s halide bulbs.
5. Haiti and Dominican Republic
The Dominican Republic (right) has more stringent environmental protection laws than Haiti (left).
This is readily apparent at the border, where the Dominican forest abruptly ends.
6. The United States and Mexico
This is the most frequently crossed border in the world.
It’s also the most dramatic wealth discrepancy between any two bordering nations other than Israel and Palestine.

Netherlands-based photographer Valerio Vincenzo created a project called ‘Borderline, the Frontiers of Peace’, a series that explores changes that have occurred during the last decade in Europe regarding global conflicts and the signing of the Schengen Agreement. The agreement states that the borders between European countries need to be erased and peaceful borderlines need to be established.
The photographer travelled along these borderlines, clicked them and showcased ‘the essence of not borders but peaceful crossings’.

A giant, swollen snake was captured and killed in Nigeria because it was suspected of eating a calf and killing livestock around the area. The snake was almost 1 foot wide and around 10 feet long. The snake in question was most likely an African rock python, the continent’s largest snake. As soon as the locals sliced open the serpent, they were shocked by what they found ... ....
