James Mooney - Video Journalist

James, like many in the media, says he could have played professional football - just a few things got in the way, talent being one of them.

It's been a good run for James since graduating with a postgraduate diploma in broadcasting at Edith Cowan University.

He won the 6PR George Grjluisch Sports Broadcasting award in 2013 - giving him a place on the sports desk in the 882 6PR Newsroom along with boundary riding for 6PR's commentary team.

He made the move into news reading for 96fm in 2014 before taking on his latest challenge the as Video Journalist for WA Today.

The role has taken him away from sports journalism into the wild and unpredictable world of general news, so if you see him out on the streets with his camera, don't be shy to say "hi".

When he's not working you will likely find him living his glory days at an indoor football tournament or running along the South Perth foreshore.
