Artemis
Artemis (/ˈɑːrtᵻmᵻs/; Ancient Greek: Ἄρτεμις, Ártemis, Greek pronunciation: [ár.te.mis]) was one of the most widely venerated of the Ancient Greek deities. Her Roman equivalent is Diana. Some scholars believe that the name, and indeed the goddess herself, was originally pre-Greek. Homer refers to her as Artemis Agrotera, Potnia Theron: "Artemis of the wildland, Mistress of Animals". The Arcadians believed she was the daughter of Demeter.
In the classical period of Greek mythology, Artemis was often described as the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and the twin sister of Apollo. She was the Hellenic goddess of the hunt, wild animals, wilderness, childbirth, virginity and protector of young girls, bringing and relieving disease in women; she often was depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows. The deer and the cypress were sacred to her. In later Hellenistic times, she even assumed the ancient role of Eileithyia in aiding childbirth.
Etymology
The name Artemis (noun, feminine) is of unknown or uncertain origin and etymology although various ones have been proposed.

Miss Martian
Miss Martian (real name M'gann M'orzz, alias Megan Morse) is a fictional superhero in DC Comics.
Publication history
Miss Martian was created by Geoff Johns and Tony Daniel and first appeared in Teen Titans #37 (2006). Miss Martian is named "Megan Morse" after Marvel Comics editor Ben Morse's wife, Megan. Morse is a friend of Johns'.
Fictional character biography
Miss Martian is a White Martian known as M'gann M'orzz. She serves as a member of the Teen Titans during the year between the events depicted in Infinite Crisis and the "One Year Later" stories. On Earth, she simplifies her name to Megan Morse.
M'gann M'orzz was originally sent by rocket from Mars to the Vega system, to escape the civil war between the Green Martians and the White Martians. To date, it is still unknown when she came to Earth from Vega.
Initially, M'gann pretended to be a Green Martian, like the Martian Manhunter, and joined the Teen Titans. After her feelings were hurt through insensitivity and misunderstanding with her teammates, M'gann left the Titans to be a hero in Australia. Though the Titans suspected she might have been a traitor, it turned out that her accuser, Bombshell, was the actual traitor. After helping the team defeat Bombshell and proving her loyalty, she was accepted as a full member of the Titans.

She conceived through IVF treatment but soon into her pregnancy she is diagnosed with gestational diabetes adding an extra level of concern for the midwives.
At the other end of the spectrum, specialist midwife Jo looks after pregnant teenagers. Last year, she worked with more than sixty young women who gave birth before they were 18 years of age. One of her teenagers is 16-year-old Elizabeth who is seven months pregnant. In her final year at school, she only realised she was expecting a baby a couple of weeks ago. We follow midwife Jo as she helps to quickly prepare Elizabeth for the life-changing prospect of becoming a mum.
Midwife Antoinette specialises in multiple pregnancies and as IVF treatment has become more common, she has seen an increase in the number of Mums carrying twins.
Thirty-eight-year-old Lisa is single and pregnant with twins after having IVF treatment using sperm from an unknown donor. She has been referred to the hospital by her GP, as her blood pressure is higher than normal. As her pregnancy becomes more complicated, midwife Antoinette keeps a close eye on Lisa. When she is brought in for an emergency section five weeks before her due date, Lisa's long awaited journey to becoming a mum suddenly takes a turn for the worse.

23 About that time there arose a great disturbance about the Way.
24 A silversmith named Demetrius, who made silver shrines of Artemis,
brought in a lot of business for the craftsmen there.
25 He called them together, along with the workers in related trades,
and said: “You know, my friends, that we receive a good income from
this business.
26 And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led
astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the
whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no
gods at all.
27 There is danger not only that our trade will lose its good name,
but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be
discredited; and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the
province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty.”
28 When they heard this, they were furious and began shouting: “Great is
Artemis of the Ephesians!”
29 Soon the whole city was in an uproar. The people seized Gaius and
Aristarchus, Paul’s traveling companions from Macedonia, and all of them
rushed into the theater together.
30 Paul wanted to appear before the crowd, but the disciples would not
let him.
31 Even some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, sent him
a message begging him not to venture into the theater.
32 The assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some
another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there.
33 The Jews in the crowd pushed Alexander to the front, and they shouted
instructions to him. He motioned for silence in order to make a defense
before the people.
34 But when they realized he was a Jew, they all shouted in unison for
about two hours: “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”
35 The city clerk quieted the crowd and said: “Fellow Ephesians, doesn’t
all the world know that the city of Ephesus is the guardian of the temple
of the great Artemis and of her image, which fell from heaven?
36 Therefore, since these facts are undeniable, you ought to calm down
and not do anything rash.
37 You have brought these men here, though they have neither robbed
temples nor blasphemed our goddess.
38 If, then, Demetrius and his fellow craftsmen have a grievance against
anybody, the courts are open and there are proconsuls. They can press
charges.
39 If there is anything further you want to bring up, it must be settled
in a legal assembly.
40 As it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of
what happened today. In that case we would not be able to account for
this commotion, since there is no reason for it.”
41 After he had said this, he dismissed the assembly.

Once Claire understands why Marsali wants to prevent pregnancy, she offers some of her own insights, and gives her a barrier method, but is interrupted before being able to fully explain it's use.
The interruption comes in the form of an English man o' war ship heading their way with the intent to board the Artemis. They believe it is to procure deck hands from the Artemis, by pressing the British subjects into service aboard the Porpoise. Soon the real problem is evident, the captain of the Porpoise tells of a terrible plague upon his ship and he desperately needs medical assistance. After discussion and explanation of the oath she took, Jamie agrees to Claire going over to the Porpoise to assist in diagnosing the illness and getting the medical side of things up and running. Before long, the Porpoise is underway, and it is Claire who is pressed into service without her permission, or Jamie's, or the captain of the Artemis. Claire is raging, but finds it within herself to put on her doctoring hat and get to work. She has no other choice.
There's also intrigue to give Claire another puzzle to work on. She hears someone tell the captain, he recognized the big red haired man on the Artemis. This has her quite worried, but she has a plague to worry about first.
Claire is given authority to commandeer any men and supplies necessary to fight the outbreak. She is right at home bossing the crew about. The purser even takes to locking himself into his cabin to avoid her demands. She has a plan and taking it step by step. She even takes half of the ship's alcohol for use in disinfection. The men are unhappy about having their rations tapped in to. She's a force of nature, our Claire.

In this week's episode of the Voyager read-a-long, Claire finds herself being pressed into service as a "Wisewoman and a Plague Hunter". Marsali, ever embittered toward Claire for being the whore that hurt her mother, puts her feelings aside for some much needed birth control advice. Of course, it takes her a while to get to thqat point through a story of explanation. More light is given into the sexual issues Laoghaire has and the information she is passing on to her daughters. It's terrifically sad how Laoghaire feels about it. She must've been hurt along the way. Once Claire understands why Marsali wants to prevent pregnancy, she offers some of her own insights, and gives her a barrier method, but is interrupted before being able to fully explain it's use.
The interruption comes in the form of an English man o' war ship heading their way with the intent to board the Artemis. They believe it is to procure deck hands from the Artemis, by pressing the British subjects into service aboard the Porpoise. Soon the real problem is evident, the captain of the Porpoise tells of a terrible plague upon his ship and he desperately needs medical assistance. After discussion and explanation of the oath she took, Jamie agrees to Claire going over to the Porpoise to assist in diagnosing the illness and getting the medical side of things up and running. Before long, the Porpoise is underway, and it is Claire who is pressed into service without her permission, or Jamie's, or the captain of the Artemis. Claire is raging, but finds it within herself to put on her doctoring hat and get to work. She has no other choice.
There's also intrigue to give Claire another puzzle to work on. She hears someone tell the captain, he recognized the big red haired man on the Artemis. This has her quite worried, but she has a plague to worry about first.
Claire is given authority to commandeer any men and supplies necessary to fight the outbreak. She is right at home bossing the crew about. The purser even takes to locking himself into his cabin to avoid her demands. She has a plan and taking it step by step. She even takes half of the ship's alcohol for use in disinfection. The men are unhappy about having their rations tapped in to. She's a force of nature, our Claire.

23 About that time there arose a great disturbance about the Way. 24 A silversmith named Demetrius, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought in a lot of business for the craftsmen there. 25 He called them together, along with the workers in related trades, and said: "You know, my friends, that we receive a good income from this business. 26 And you see and hear how this fellow Paul has convinced and led astray large numbers of people here in Ephesus and in practically the whole province of Asia. He says that gods made by human hands are no gods at all. 27 There is danger not only that our trade will lose its good name, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be discredited; and the goddess herself, who is worshiped throughout the province of Asia and the world, will be robbed of her divine majesty."
28 When they heard this, they were furious and began shouting: "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" 29 Soon the whole city was in an uproar. The people seized Gaius and Aristarchus, Paul's traveling companions from Macedonia, and all of them rushed into the theater together. 30 Paul wanted to appear before the crowd, but the disciples would not let him. 31 Even some of the officials of the province, friends of Paul, sent him a message begging him not to venture into the theater.
32 The assembly was in confusion: Some were shouting one thing, some another. Most of the people did not even know why they were there. 33 The Jews in the crowd pushed Alexander to the front, and they shouted instructions to him. He motioned for silence in order to make a defense before the people. 34 But when they realized he was a Jew, they all shouted in unison for about two hours: "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"
35 The city clerk quieted the crowd and said: "Fellow Ephesians, doesn't all the world know that the city of Ephesus is the guardian of the temple of the great Artemis and of her image, which fell from heaven? 36 Therefore, since these facts are undeniable, you ought to calm down and not do anything rash. 37 You have brought these men here, though they have neither robbed temples nor blasphemed our goddess. 38 If, then, Demetrius and his fellow craftsmen have a grievance against anybody, the courts are open and there are proconsuls. They can press charges. 39 If there is anything further you want to bring up, it must be settled in a legal assembly. 40 As it is, we are in danger of being charged with rioting because of what happened today. In that case we would not be able to account for this commotion, since there is no reason for it." 41 After he had said this, he dismissed the assembly.

When a Turkish social club on the Edgware Road is burned to the ground in an horrific arson attack, DS Ronnie Brooks (Bradley Walsh), DS Matt Devlin (Jamie Bamber) and DI Natalie Chandler (Harriet Walter) are embroiled in a major investigation into seventeen deaths. Fears of a racist attack or hate crime drive the investigation, but with a trail incorporating false identities and a devious method of fire-setting, the team soon discover the truth is even more complex. Can the police and legal teams work together in the face of opposition from respected barrister St John Artemis (Charles Kay) to remove a key piece of evidence from a suspect's leg? And will that evidence lead them any closer to the person responsible? Even when the police find and arrest the arsonist, the case is far from over. Senior Crown Prosecutor James Steel (Ben Daniels) and Crown Prosecutor Alesha Phillips (Freema Agyeman) question whether the arsonist was working alone, or on the orders of someone else. As George Castle (Bill Paterson) pressures them to deliver results, James finds himself confronting one of his oldest friends. Could Faruk Osman (Selva Raslingham) be involved in a conspiracy to burn members of his own community?
