Celine Dion set to record original tune for live-action Beauty And The Beast 20 years after making My Heart Will Go On a megahit for Titanic
It's always a good thing to get a Celine Dion song on your film's soundtrack, and Disney has done just that.
The 48-year-old - who turned Titanic's My Heart Will Go On into a megahit - is slated to deliver an original song, titled How Does a Moment Last Forever, for the upcoming soundtrack to the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast the entertainment giant is set to release in just under two months.
The That's the Way It Is artist is no stranger to the hallowed franchise, as she scored a Grammy in 1992 for her duet with Peabo Bryson of the title track, Beauty and the Beast, for the animated 1991 smash.

'I'm truly honored to be a part of this film again,' Celine said Thursday in a post on her Instagram page, noting that 'being a part of the original Beauty and the Beast was such a magical experience in [her] life.'
According to the studio's music president, Mitchell Leib, the French Canadian stunner 'was the unanimous choice of the filmmakers and studio to perform this song and everyone involved with the film is thrilled she agreed to be part of this new live-action adaptation.'

The I'm Your Angel singer is not the only show business standout tied to the track, as Academy Award-winning songwriters Alan Menken and Tim Rice are penning the surefire hit.
The announcement comes about a week after Disney confirmed that John Legend and Ariana Grande would deliver a new rendition of the title track for the film, which features Emma Watson as Belle, and Dan Stevens as The Beast/Prince Adam.
The film also features a star-studded supporting cast of Oscar-winners Kevin Kline and Emma Thompson, as well as Stanley Tucci, Josh Gad and Ian McKellen.
The soundtrack will go on sale March 10, a week before the film hits theaters March 17.
