Alessandra has recently been using her modelling prowess to promote her swimwear range, Ale by Alessandra.

The model recently returned from a well-deserved getaway in her home country of Brazil.

Alessandra was joined on the trip by her children, Anja, eight and Noah, four, and long-time partner, businessman Jamie Mazur, 35.

A gaggle of gal pals also joined her on the trip, which saw her post numerous bikini snaps on her Instagram page.

With her enviable physique on display, it comes as a surprise that the star previously admitted to dieting furiously.

In April 2016, she told The Edit she went on a strict diet in 2008 for the VS fashion show after welcoming Anja into the world.

'I only had three months to lose all the weight. And I was on this 1,200-calorie-a-day meal-delivery service that I hated. I couldn’t do that again,' she said.

The model even admitted that she never bothered to exercise before the American lingerie giant came calling.

She said: 'In my family, no one ever worked out. It wasn’t until I did my first Victoria’s Secret show that I started exercising.

'Now that it’s a healthy, normal part of my daily routine, my kids will grow up seeing it in the same way, and I love that.'
